A little out of topic but I just have to say, why can't the NEA and their reduce plastic/waste campaign start with no plastic utensils at eateries first? Rather this than the chargeable plastic bags campaign in supermarkets. Plastic bags from supermarkets will be reused as trash bags. These utensils are all single use plastic.
@beepbloopbeepbloop
@beepbloopbeepbloop Жыл бұрын
Agreed. there are actually so many ways to reuse plastic bags from supermarkets at home (ESP AS TRASH BAGS. DO THEY NOT KNOW THAT WE DO THAT???) that they have become indispensable in most households. Trying to discourage Singaporeans from contributing to plastic waste by charging the bags has only prompted us to buy them from other platforms LOL no difference. Plus, what's the point of producing grocery plastic bags in supermarkets then????
@NormerDormer
@NormerDormer Жыл бұрын
Because using reusables require water, soap and labour to wash. It's a trade off la. And I do agree the plastic bag thing is kind of pointless. Adds to the frustration when I'm carrying a lot of groceries and can't find a plastic bag in sight too.

Chloe, please have some respect for Chinese language and stop making fun of it by pretending to be bad at it. If you really can't even understand those simple Chinese sentences, then you ought to spend more time studying.

@lukelow007 ermm I'd think that is the minimum requirement of a food show host? And it's everyday type of foods, nothing exotic like bugs or balut

So far I’ve only heard negative comments on the night market and I’ve personally tried it, it’s terrible. I’m surprised eatbook actually says it’s nice..

Why would you cast someone who’s picky with food and doesn’t speak Mandarin to a Taiwanese ep?

I think for this case, Chloe wasn’t really ‘picky’, she just keep suggesting she is, which doesn’t help for a food review show. But she still did good, overshadowing Mandon even, imo

Actually not all the food are that great though they tried it to be as authentic as possible and the high price doesn't justify paying it. But on the lighter note , I seriously think chloe and mandon would make a cute couple if they were to get together some time . Can get them to host another episode together . Eat book Rocks and I love smart local too
