Stay where you are. I am from tunisian countryside and i live in sfax and the whole coutry is bad. But there are some good places in the north west of tunisia where some Forests and i mean this is the only forest in the whole country) And one neighborhood in tunis the capital it name is Sidi bou said Which looks like greece. Personally i am telling you don't arrive here the country is bad as shit.

hey! nice having you here in sfax if you're still around there are many great restaurants in the Medina as well as outside the Medina i would recommend you to visit olive trees farms / a traditional olive oil press chaffar beach (especially now it would be empty and clean ) but nothing arround to do enjoy your stay

If you want to travel around the country, you can take a train (it only operates from the capital to the south) or a “louage” (group vans which will take you all across the country but can be kind of cramped for long trips). Both of these are lower budget options. If you’re looking for freedom of movement and a comfortable ride, I’d say rent a car all the way! I hope you have a great trip!!
