Very interesting and informative impressed by Michael farry and ms dowd great sound photos of Sligo part in Ireland revolutionary.period Sligo had two great leaders in Frank carty who had two dramatic escapes from Sligo jails and an dramatic attempted escape in Glasgow Scotland and ms dowd in her talk is right there should a street bridge monument of Billy pilkington I m surprised That's so hopefully that will change soon since it's been mentioned Sligo is a beautiful county lakes Beaches and the majestic ben bulben mountains that nobel prize recipient wb tested write about and another great figure in that period for Ireland is countess markeavich

Pleased to say that a memorial plaque to Billy Pilkington has recently been placed on his family home on Abbey St. courtesy of Sligo's Constance Markievicz Millennium Committee in collaboration with Sligo Tidy Towns Committee.
