The reason why there's a lot of Mari is because it was her birthday that week lol. I went there a few days before her birthday and back then they didn't have all of the stuff you showed in the video. And the money exchange machine was broken when I was there, glad they fixed it. It's sad that the shop was only temporary and it's already gone. Pretty much every shop in Akihabara sells Love Live merch, so it doesn't really matter, but it would be great if a shop which sells only Love Live stuff would operate 24/7.

Did not expect that you would cover Love Live but happy you did. Love Live is huge. Go to Kanda Miyoujin and you will see tons of Love Live art on the ema. Go to Numazu Shizuoka and there are love live wrapped trains, buses, taxis and manhole covers.

Idol anime is pretty much the ideal thing for merch.... xD Probably the only thing that gets over that is specific character design stuff like Hello Kitty. Highly profitable too... all of those things are cents a dollar to mass produce, they probably have some 1000% markup or something. :P Not that I blame them... figure collector here, part of the problem. :P

You can find L.L. figures in just about every store and arcade you go to in Akiba.

While I'm not a fan of Love Live (To this day I never can understand how it got so popular), this was an interesting video to watch. I look forward to the next pop up shop video. I do wish they'd have an Kantai Collection or Hatsune Miku one.

Apparently both men and women love it though I'm not sure it's with the same enthusiasm. It's not that old as far as I know, maybe 5 years or so.
