I remember having a 20 month old and a new born and going to my parents just in the next town from us. We went to my parents house on Christmas Eve Day then to Venice Ca. to my father in law and stepmother’s house to spend the night. We would have breakfast there and open presents then go to Torrance Ca. To my mother-in-law and step father-in-law’s Christmas Day for dinner. We were so exhausted by Christmas night when we finally got back home! I regret that I put my kids thru all that traveling around!

Shopping with small children is very stressful, but Harrison seems really well behaved. I can't stand it when my kids throw fits in stores. I never go through Uscan when I have them. I can't scan, watch them, and get it done efficiently.

The roads are insanely driven. Old timers further South in Anchor Point & Homer make the trip to Anchorage in a day. They cut curves, illegally pass, speed up to 100mph to do it. Many are using barely functioning vehicles with bald tires. If the maniacs don't get you, the mayhem afterwards will. Long lines from delays of roads closed due to crashes is a given on Seward Highway.

As you make your way up to Anchorage & back from now through Fall be especially careful on curves at Cooper Landing. Also, extremely important to be prepared for sudden stops and turning vehicles at Portage/Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. There are terrible crashes, including fatalities every season in those areas. How are you all keeping your groceries frozen during layover in Anchorage and return trip? Happy Mother's Day 💐

I live in Big Lake, I have a mosquito trap, that is run by propane. If you get it out just as you see the big mosquitos, it really cuts down on how many little ones are born from big ones laying eggs. Each year you will see a difference. The children are really growing fast.
