Exploring The New Farmland Mod! //Mods for The Sims 4

So the new farmland mod is here! I have been so excited to try this mod ever since it was announced last month. This mod brings so much to the game, being able to do actual farming in the sims 4 is just the tip of the iceberg!

In this video we will be taking a look at the beautiful open world of Eden Hills, including checking out the farmers market, stopping by the town hall, giving the graveyard a visit and plenty more!
Included in the open world introduced (Eden Hills) there is a large plot of land dedicated to farming, equalling to around 5 60x60 lots in size. You can purchase lots of land to grow crops or rear farm animals. Thankfully you don’t have to do much guessing work when it comes to running a farm, as you’ll be guided by George, the former owner of the land.
Whilst exploring the open world and getting to grips with farming in general is fun, there is also another little nugget in there for us. Story mode! After you introduce yourself to George, you’ll be able to ask him questions which will lead to a few mini stories that require your sim to complete small missions, such as fix the windmill, get a tractors licence and plenty more!
I was genuinely overwhelmed by the things you can do with the mod and the overall quality of how it was done. I cannot recommend the new farmland mod enough!

I really do wish I got a chance to play this mod because it looked amazing. I do wish it would get updated, but I know that Arnie was off to do amazing work on their own game project. It really does show what is actually capable in the Sims 4 if the time and dedication is put into it.

OMFG!!!! I've been wanting a farming expansion for SO long and got super excited when I pre-ordered my orchard pack! I've got a bunch of static chickens just chilling in pens everywhere LOL! I'm not techie minded though and I seem to be having issues with the MCCC preventing the game from even launching so I'm a little skeeved about mods at the moment (I've removed all of them just to get the game to work). I've had to uninstall and reinstall the game and THOUSANDS of CC items and it's taken DAYS to finish. STILL don't have all the CC in my saved worlds. Why hasn't EA hired some of these modders?! So good. Great video as always! And for the record, stop motherloding already LOL just type: money (then add whatever number you want) Enter. Done.

I never investigated this mod because I could never get Brookheights to work...and trying to pull it out afterwards was like trying to perform brain surgery on yourself wide awake. ETA: Maybe it's time to try it again, this time saving EVERYTHING first, yanking out ALL my mods and CC, and *then* install it with an unmodded version of TS4 (and reinstalling mods one by one...which I've wanted to do). ETA: But now, I see that the link to Brookheights download at Arnie's Patreon is gone. A post dated 11/30/20 says: "BROOKHEIGHTS DOWNLOAD LINK IS DOWN FOR THE MOMENT, UNTIL THE RELEASE OF THE NEXT UPDATE 2.0... Thank you for your patience." That's seven months ago...a pretty long for a "moment." Fortunately, I saved my download.

Maybe you could help me, since you sound like you know what you're doing. I've copied all my CC in the Tray but when I paste it into the Tray folder after reinstall, nothing shows up. My Save folder transfers fine but not the CC. I've had to go reinstall every item individually from the TSRCC Manager one by one. Any ideas?

@@shotgunbettygaming I ain't no expert by any means, but I'll do my best... 🙂 I'm not sure what TSRCC Manager is ("The Sims Resource Custom Content Manager" I'm guessing?) I don't use this. And I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "The Tray." Let's start really simple and work up from there. I will assume that you're playing TS4 on a PC and not a console. First, back up your game (if you went with defaults, the directory you want to copy will be Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4). Me, I'd use a flash drive, but you can copy it where you like. Then go and uninstall ANYTHING you installed for TS4. You want to start with a clean, unmodified installation of the game. After that, copy ONE piece of CC into your MODS folder *NOT THE TRAY FOLDER* This is important. Go into the game, click on OPTIONS and then OTHER and make sure ENABLE CUSTOM CONTENT AND MODS is checked. Click APPLY CHANGES. You might need to restart the game. I’m convinced ea just takes notes from us predicting how cheap they are and just go “WRITE THAT DOWN” because that’s basically what happened “horse ranch” (for horses, sheep and goats only) “cottage living” (cows chicken and llama desperately)🙃

She is using a mod that you can download from the link in the description of the video. If you don’t know how to download a mod for the sims 4 there are plenty of tutorials on KZbin!
