The creaking is an upcoming mob that generates in the pale garden. The creaking does not take damage from direct attacks. Instead, the player will need to locate the creaking heart. When attacking the creaking it will emit particles that swirl and point in a direction. These particles should lead to the creaking heart which controls a creaking in the area like a hive mind. The player will need to destroy the trees indicated to uncover the heart within and then destroy that with their axes. The creaking can be spawn more at night by an active creaking heart. It is possible to avoid the creaking altogether, they are connected to their creaking hearts and cannot move a certain amount of blocks away from them. That means, in theory, player can escape them, as long as the player always looks at them in the process or they'll sneak up on him or her. When being looked at the creaking is unable to walk and will shove any entity backwards except for falling blocks. When in water the creaking will only swim upwards out of the water while the player is not looking at him. The creaking will not take drowning damage when underwater.
