Exploring the Ozarks - Frog Bayou, White Rock Mountain, and Morgan Mountain Road

In this video Taylor, Jason, and Myself venture into the Ozark National Forest in search of amazing sights, relaxation, and like minded comradery. Needless to say, that is exactly what this trip provided. It is hard to beat a weekend away with the guys, soaking up the beauty that nature provides.

My family and I have taken the trip from Fort Worth TX to White Rock mountain around 10 times over the years. It's one of our favorite places to go to. This past summer I finally bought a 4runner so I can go down all of the trails that I've seen. We're heading up there next month for Thanksgiving break to camp. Thanks for the video. Definitely has me looking forward to getting off the pavement..

At the first Falls if you go north on that trail you end up at Temple Cemetery in Washington County near WC 38 county road. Beautiful falls on that trail as well.

Thank man! I sure appreciate it! Getting better as I go and trying to improve everywhere I can with each video! Yep we are pretty simplistic when it comes to rigs and gear. I upgraded to a RTT a while back not knowing if I would like it or not becasue I’m typically not into the “fad” gear. But it’s honestly one of the best additions I’ve made to the rig. Other than that it’s just your typical stuff I’ve collected over the years haha

I just got a 4Runner trd pro, any places you recommend for me to go or places I should steer clear of in NWA area?

My first recommendation would be Sick with goin out with others. At least until you get comfortable with your rigs capabilities. I haven’t been out in NWA enough to make a solid recommendation for you being in a stock rig, but I will tell you the stuff we did on this trip should be doable in a TRD pro no problem. I would recommend checking out the Ozark Overland Adventures KZbin channel. Matt is a great dude and has tons of great videos of different areas in the Ozarks at different difficulty levels. Again, find you a group of experienced guys to get out with to get a handle on what your comfortable with and learn the ins and outs before diving in solo to avoid getting yourself into a bad situation.

Heading there in Feb, any above tire water crossing?

there wasn’t other than the mud hole, but both of the major water crossings on this trip were extremely low compared to normal. They are normally much deeper. There are a lot of pretty deep water crossings in the ozarks, we just happened to be there when there hadn’t been rain in a while. Typically I would expect to have tire deep water crossings in the ozarks, yes

Depends what trail you are talking about. There are lots of trails in the Ozarks you can run in a 2wd. The trail out to the waterfall would be a no go for a 2wd for sure. I’d say you could probably do frog bayou IF you have some lift and a locker in the rear. If not I wouldn’t try it unless you have someone with you to pull you through tough spots.

I think it may be that the actual “Morgan mountain road” is the section before the technical part. Not 100% sure honestly. I just know that’s what people refer to it as.
