When many tourists visit Istanbul, they only hit the touristy hoods, seeing the large mosques, eating at the fancy shops, and taking Instagram pics by the water.
I wanted to see what life was like for most locals, so I ventured out into the poor and "dangerous" hoods of Istanbul to learn how locals lived...this was a side of the city where no tourists ever ventured but gave me a glimpse of real Istanbul life.
The hoods visited in this video are:
Cinardere, East Istanbul: Where I started the video

Suluntepe: One of Istanbul more dangerous/poor neighborhoods. East Istanbul.
