Exploring the Role of Pharmacists in Pyschiatric Care

It was medical misinformation around psychiatric and mental health medications on social media that led Dr. Allen to become the Mentalect PharmD. On the Mentalect platform, she offers a space for mental health education, from a pharmacist’s perspective, and provides for healthcare providers a much needed review on psychiatric medications. In this episode Dr. Allen shares her pharmacy journey, what she does as a mental health pharmacist and professor, and provides advice for new practitioners who are interested in pharmacy and in mental health pharmacy.
