The last gear in most 6 geared transmissions is mostly for cruising and fuel efficiency, you can reach max speed in 5th gear in this FoST and also the FiST.

The plants are hyacinth, quite sad because they're very invasive, and they can apparently last decades because their seeds are on the waterbed and just keep coming back even after they kill them. One of the universities uses bugs to eat the leaves.

@@josiahthobejane yeah, as long as raw sewage continues to enrich the dam's water, we'll have this problem. I haven't researched enough to know whether they can remove them altogether over time. I became curious about them because a few times when passing there, I'd just see green.
