I may sound ridiculous or even over-reacting, but the beauty of Batanes made me cry.. I never realized that I was shedding tears while watching the breath-taking sceneries and telling myself how lucky we are to have such a paradise on Earth! This is my dream destination and I hope to fulfill it one day soon! Very soon, Batanes! I will see you!

Filipinos greet their fellow Filipinos by doing the opposite of a short nod, or by inclining your face up a little , while here in Japan a bow of the head is the usual greeting and varies if you are in rural areas meeting old folks ,and Batanes seems to have acquired abit of the Japanese culture .The habit of old people walking to and working in the field look the same, and yes I admire Sherlyn for being a true Filipina ,a beauty and simplicity.more power toyou TWO !!!

Amazing! Amazing! I can see equality in that village, no rich no poor. Typhoons hits Batanes all the time, I am guessing that’s the reason why their homes are build with stones.

Riding the liberty boats reminds of the navy days mostly in Europe; the ship would anchor way out; the city would not let U.S. Navy warships ammo/oiler ships because of dangerous cargo, also because of the deep draft so we have to ride liberty boats to shore. In Holy lock, Scotland it was so foggy the boat got lost even with the radar; just unforgettable memories of a sailor('73-'93)
