I stayed at this Anshin Oyado in August of last year - it's absolutely unreal how much you get for your money. The artificial onsen is amazing, the capsules are incredibly roomy, and the free Melon Fanta on tap? Divine.

I have a flight booked to Japan in the fall, solo trip with a JR pass and very minimal plans other than that. I'm not much of an international traveler but have been wanting to go since I was a kid and this channel is what pushed me over the hump and into actually committing to the trip.

I remember hearing about capsule hotels a long time ago, like early 2000s, but mainly they were used by business men. Now it seems like so many tourists and youtubers, influences etc, go to them. For traveling adults it's perfect.
I like your channel, because you give good and interesting information, in a relaxed, calm and respectful way. Its so totally Japanese (I mean that as a compliment), and not loud, hectic or too busy. Also, thanks to you, I get to see things, that I will never experience myself. For example: I love Japan, and we always stay in Shinjuku, because for me, thats the best location in Tokyo. But I will never stay in a capsule hotel (even if its great value for money, like this one), because I could not sleep for one minute in a capsule (space, lack of privacy, not having your own toilet, noise from other people etc.). So, thanks to your videos, I can still get to learn about them.

I love seeing and learning through you. Thank you. I have many questions, too. Are capsule hotels also welcome to older people? Are any adapted for older people with disabilities? Do women often travel alone or stay in capsule hotels? As an older woman who is considered disabled I wonder about these things.

@@DiagonalLawn at the Shinjuku location you do not check out and back in each day - so everything stays put (I mean, you physically have to be out of the sleeping capsule for it to be cleaned, but that's it). 😂😂 that's funny!! Couldn't have it in here in the US either. Unfortunately some Americans fall into the American stereotype n are gluttonous. Instead of just having a few cocktails or shots they would drink as much as possible leaving nothing behind. They would have no consideration for the other ppl that might've wanted some. All that just bc it was free. That goes for everything..not just alcohol. Everything complimentary in that hotel would be wiped out completely. It's sad😢ofc not all Americans are like this but it's embarrassing to know that there are many.

HM už chápu proč Japonci rádi jezdí do Prahy a v pivovaru u Fleků dají tradiční guláš a černé pivo.
