omg so proud of you for filming in public! it can be really awkward but doing it in a touristy spot was such a good move! also i feel like the holiday season tends to put a lot of pressure on people because it's "supposed to be" the happiest time of year. so it almost makes people feel forced to decorate, do festivities, and spread a certain level of superficial joy even if they just aren't really feeling it. so i love that you're participating in the season in whatever way works for you. also love the little snowflakes added to the intro! it's the little things ❄🤍✨

I’m a rollercoaster when it comes to the holidays. Some years I’m super festive, other years I’m the grinch. This year, I’m a little bit of both and am looking forward to a social detox in January. But with that said, this got me feeling festive so thanks for taking us along!

@Celinkelikedion Hi Celine, I was so happy to see this video,🤗 especially your heartfelt discussion about this crazy time of the year, especially the preparation only just for one day which goes so quickly. And good on you for going out filming in public, considering how you feel about doing this and you felt okay in the end.🤗 I really loved your look , especially the coat .😍 Toronto sure looks magical and pretty for Christmas🎄. The distillery district looked gorgeous, especially the Dior tree🎄. I would have bought a cotton candy character. I am a huge hot chocolate lover☕ and have it once a week as a treat. I make my own hot chocolate with 3 dark chocolate Lindt balls. For special occasions, like Christmas I add a shot or two of Frangelico liqueur. Christmas🎄 for me, sadly is a nothing burger, so definitely no Christmas vibe happening. My elderly parents, who I care for, aren’t very well, hence aren’t in the mood for Christmas . We don’t exchange gifts or do Christmas meals. Mum only likes to have a nativity scene in the living room. You are so spot on, when it comes to Christmas, in that not everyone will be able to celebrate due to heavy personal issues. The only thing I like about this time of the year are the pretty decorations and lights. I am obsessed with fairy lights and have many of them in my bedroom, so I have some Christmas led lights just to make my room prettier. There are also a few Christmas lights and decorations in the front yard, again because of my blinking lights obsession and they cheer me up, looking so nice. As it is quite warm 🌞here for Christmas, on Christmas day, I usually take myself out to have a picnic, with nice pink champagne🥂 and sweet treats,🧁🍫 feeding the ducks 🦆in the lake near my home. I have to say I am glad that as I now don’t work, I don’t have to go to work Christmas functions and do the kris kingle gift giving…it all felt too forced for me😣. Cheers Lara🤗🦘🐨

Best gift is a really expensive version of an inexpensive item. Think Chocolate, or potato peeler, or a bowl. Which one of us would spend $14 on a bar of chocolate? But if we got one as a gift that would be wild! There's a beekeeper who has a shop on my town's mainstreet. Gifts this year are going to be jars of their honey. Which are 2x grocery store prices, but they taste unlike any honey you've ever had. Inexpensive, but luxurious.

I stopped caring about decorating for the holidays years ago. Mostly due to being in the military, I spent most holidays traveling to family when I wasn't overseas. At this point its not even a thing for me anymore and I couldn't be happier. The only holiday tradition I have now is watching Bad Santa. 😂I didn't know you had a podcast! Perfect timing as I've been looking for something new and good to listen to in the car. 🙌🏾

Hiiii (writing again this comment bc I accidentally refreshed the page ... ) I love Distillery District and its even better in the winter! so pretty! Good for you for filming in public, remember: we wont see these people again but we will have good content forever 😂 I love that we were able to spend some holiday time together but I put all my efforts in our dinner, not Christmas tree in our place this year. Toronto condos need to be bigger for this honestly!! I haven't been to Stack but it looks so cuteeeeeeee !!! Thank you for sharing about Christmas and the pressure around it, it took me so long to be okay with the way I was celebrating and not looking like the perfect Christmas I was seeing on social media. Hey there Celine! Thank you for asking. I'm feeling great about the holidays. I'm the most reclusive, extroverted super festive guy you'll ever meet. I'm probably a Christmas nerd. That phrase is nerdy in itself 😂. You know Celine I could easily fall into the dark December blues. I live alone, I still work a job thatt can be annoying AF and I live in city that's be pretty bleak spiritually, mentally and aesthetically. Still there's something in me that that chooses joy. I'm an optimist. I'm healthy, I'm in a cool writing snd producer community and I connect with amazing content creators like yourself online. Not sure if you view yourself as this but you're an artist. I pay attention your musical selections and the effort you put in your videos. Your thumbnail evoked the Christmas spirit and I immersed myself in your walk through the market. It gave euphoric vibes. I am curious about your social anxiety. Maybe you'll dive into that deeper on the podcast? As far as the decorations I have three miniature trees and Holiday figurines. One in my studio, one in my dining room and one in my living room where I relax and watch TV. They give me comfort like a warm blanket. I like lights in the darkness. Anyway, I enjoyed this video. I stopped enjoying Christmas as a holiday years ago for a few reasons - my father died suddenly on a Christmas morning, and there was always way too much pressure to conform and buy buy buy (something! anything!!!) even before you got proper inspiration, to put on a happy face so others wouldn't feel I was depressing them or that they had to cheer me up. I watched what had been a delightful day specially designed for kids to make their faces light up, morph to become a grotesque spectacle kept on life-support in order to keep adults feeling like those kids again. The rat-race pressure to rush! and enjoy! as much of it as you could before it's too soon over and post-holiday depression would set in just like muddy slush follows those crystalline snowflakes... Amazing how forced love always goes bad. So it took awhile, but now I just enjoy others' enjoying the holidays, whichever way they do... without peeking underneath the surface.
