From October 4 to 6, 2013 I went on another travel assignment to Eastern Ontario. For two nights I stayed at the Abadin B&B, a chic and elegant bed and breakfast. On Saturday morning I visited L'Orignal Beach, the Cassburn Cemetery and the Farmers Market in Vankleek Hill - the Gingerbread Capital of Ontario. Also on the program were a visit to the historic Higginson Tower, the Vankleek Hill Museum and the Arbor Gallery. After a walking tour of Vankleek Hill I visited Beau's Oktoberfest, one of Ontario's most popular beer festivals. I also checked out Hawkesbury, learned about La Maison de l'Ile and explored the fascinating history of the Old Jail in L'Orignal.
