That was a good day fishing. That was Tracey and I over by you guys. I remember that day. We caught our limits under the bridge. Good day indeed

Yes I remember, yall hit the spot that I usually go to first, should have followed my instincts instead of trying new stuff that day

Jesse, my kayak fishing group will be camping at Kiptopeke the end of this month. Do you think we might see you out at the CBBT that weekend? We are all fans
@SouthernReelsFishing5 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Thanks for the message! I'm sure I will be around the area, the bite in the bay has only been getting better. I usually plan a trip there for flounder around the 1st of June. Let me know the dates and maybe we can meet up.

May 31-June 3. We want to hit the concrete ships, rudee’s, and both the North and South sides of the bridge.
@twotoneusmc5 жыл бұрын
Where do you get your bait? Blue crab, fiddlers, green crabs, clams, etc... there’s a shop close to Kiptopeke called Chris’. I spoke with them and they said there live bait selection isn’t consistent. Any advice???

Try some jigs in the heavy structure less snags, more sensitive to bites = more hook ups. Great video.
@SouthernReelsFishing5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I did try some jigs that day and they worked good! They seem to be much more sensitive than the other options

The captain always fishes less than his guests because he bears the burden of boat positioning, the trip's success, and the safety of everyone on board. It's just something you get used to.
@timmoutos88605 жыл бұрын
unless he has a good first mine such as myself. ;-)
@SouthernReelsFishing5 жыл бұрын
I am slowly figuring that out... It's a different mindset vs. fishing by yourself in a kayak for sure...

@@SouthernReelsFishing I captain a 22' Palm Beach with a 200 Yamaha for family and friends. We go to the oil rigs and fool around in the sound and by the islands. Maybe so, Id have to look to see what it was named. We didn't venture out far, stayed kinda within the mouth of the bay. Going to head farther out soon and also check out all the local reefs in the bay.
