Just look how relaxed the king seems to be. simply leaning back against the fence and enjoying the game. Of course his answer is quite generic, but still happy to answer. He's always been very cool. I met him once - when he was still the crown prince - at an aeronautical event organised by students of the TU Delft. he simply stood among us drinking a beer and chatting about aircraft (he's an established pilot himself).

That is only possible in the Netherlands, the king and queen are very nice and modern people who speak to everyone and where you can and can come close. I live in the UK myself and they are too stiff there, but the Dutch royal couple are very modern. The same as the Dutch people themselves .

Oh they have their royal behaviours. 1. Like going on holidays during Corona pandemic. When the whole country (and EU) was in lockdown and people where not allowed to go on holidays (only close to home in country itself was the possibility) 2. Willem wanted to buy a speedboat for like a couple of million… in these times 🥲🥲🥲🫠🫠luckily we were on time to step in. And people said “no no no…💅🏻”

When Beatrix was queen, there was Queen's Day on the birthday of the queen, like the guy in the video says. However, April 30th actually wasn't Beatrix' own birthday. From 1891 to 1949, Qeeun's Day was celebrated on Wilhelmina's birthday, which was on August 31st. When her daughter Juliana took over as queen, it was celebrated on April 30th. When Beatrix took over as queen, however, it was decided to keep the same date for the celebration. I don't know exactly what the reason for this decision was, but I guess it was because it would be more likely to have better weather for an event like this than there would be on Breatrix' own birthday, which is on January 31st.

Unknowingly, the man from Exploring The Foreign committed a big breach of protocol and etiquette: you’re not supposed to ask a reigning monarch questions unless during a scheduled and pre-approved interview. King Willem-Alexander was really nice to answer. He could have simply ignored the question. This makes it an even more unique occurrence. Since Queen Juliana, the Dutch monarchs have become more and more approachable, laid-back and close to their people from generation to generation. They’re extremely down to Earth.

To give context - I'm a republican. I'm principally egalitarian, and I believe all public institutions should operate on a democratic mandate. Therefor, I am against the presence of aristocrats, and the presence of a monarch, respectively. Nonetheless, I have to concede that the van Nassau family appears to understand, after seeing how monarchs went down in Europe, that the continued existence of their institution depends on keeping a low profile, and making themselves useful. I must further conclude they have ingrained this in their family well, and they achieve greater results for the public interest, in terms of diplomacy, private sector partnerships, and NGO investments than any elected officials. This is a compliment to the van Nassau's, and an indictment of our elected officials. With the public interest being leading to me, despite having a philosophical disagreement with their existence, I have to admit that their removal at this point would harm the public interest more than it would prevent harm.

I have seen the king once. I had my camera with me with a HUGE paparazzi-style zoomlens and was ready to make lots of photos of him at some opening where he would be. Unfortunately we were sent to some spot quite far away from him and then suddenly the secondary memory card of my camera malfunctioned, causing the entire camera to lock up while he was ending the opening and walking towards his car getting ready to go away. Quick quick quick, card out, turn the camera on again and yes: I was able to take a few snapshots of him. A few I had to edit heavily because it was such a rushed job, but at least I do have the pictures. :)

14:53 During any national holiday or celebration here, everybody always is very excited and friendly. Really, the atmosphere is unlike any other: everybody is heading outside to celebrate with no hard feelings whatsoever, and the police only act when there is more serious trouble (I mean mostly physical violence like out of control brawls; shooters or mass attacks in any form are not really a thing here, despite being a very crowded nation). They too know it's a party, and things can get a little messy every now and then, but all the cities will always clean up the morning after such major events, so stuff like littering or consuming alcohol in public spaces hardly ever gets punished. This is very different on regular days, you WILL get a hefty fine for either of those on any other day! Also, Shoutout to Sam for his amazing work as always, I've been following him for a while now 💚

I prefer a pure Republic, because it is more democratic, and altho most royals have a cerimonial function , they do influence political decisions and opinions even when they shouldnt, at least in my country. Here in Belgium, where the royals are "intellectually challenged" , extremely religious and biased, it is even a bigger problem. Belgium was created," the revolution" only worked coz the big neighbours ( France & UK) got envolved, and the new King was chosen by them, he was not Belgian (but German) , not Catholic , , didnt speak the language, .... so had no connection with the land at all. Mind you he had the chance of becoming King of Greece as well, but Belgium was richer at the time. So the powers that were put him, relative of Queen Victoria into power. This is a very different story from the dutch, where the royal family is dutch ( not originally, but has been for about 600years) , and has a deep connection to the land, they speak the language, and are in general a lot more intelligent and "Normal" than ours.... .....etc. You get my point, that even tho i i prefer a republic for many reasons, having a royal family like the Dutch would make it a lot easier to swallow for me. 1830 ( Belgian independence from the netherlands) in my view was a big mistake. 🤘❤️

For some of the protesters, the reason was also that this day costs a lot of money while there live a lot of poor people in Rotterdam, so for some it seems a bit weird of a situation. Of course this idea is also present in the reasoning of some republicans. That the king gets so much money just because of his genes and that our taxes pay him, that feels unjust

The reason some ppl are against the royal family is cuz they dont have any power in politics or what so ever. They basically only there cuz it was from back in the days that they were important, now they just here to visit other countrys and keep good relations. Beside that there should be no reason to hate them or want them away for that. The only problem is that getting huge amounts of money from the gouventment (our taxes) and that was raised again this year. While in nearly everthing else they needed to cut ( schools, healthcare etc.) While they basically have no real function in the hole system. That why some ppl want them away

It's crazy how they have used everything that should have pointed into my direction for a side effect that made it far more difficult for me to make people trust me on my word of honour ... Koning Willem Alexander is Taurus and so was koningin koningin Juliana, born in the same year as Daniel Lobe (born in Amsterdam on December 4, 1909 and diceased in Antwerp on April 12, 2000). Daniel Lobe is only connected to me, and not my sister Kristin or my niece An Kiebooms and that's part of the program ... I got knowledge that nobody else has and finally, it fits into ONE story that is unlike the stories we ever heard of. I'm sure that there is a document that is telling (encrypted) who the one expected was and when I started to share on Facebook what happened to me and how I would use my knowledge to solve some persistent problems, the few people that knew that document must have seen that it filled in the dots without any doubt - but they decided to cover it up again and change the narrative on their behalf. I was persistent as well and I couldn't understand why they would change the good into something that is obviously an ugly lie - *I am the one I claim te be* and I am the only one with the knowledge we now need to change direction on a collective level. Everything falls at the right pace, even celebrating the King of the Netherlands - the Taurus King as expected in the Bible, but they are mistaken because I am not bon into a noble family. My surname, however, is connected to the Louis Kiebooms, who saved Daniel Lobe from deportation (stating that his wife wasn't Jewish, so he had to take care of his family alike the other Belgians). Years later, I married Daniel's eldest grandson, Peter and he must have seen it as a sign to do something back, so he probably gave the vacation home in France to Peter and me, together with a large sum of money to entertain the property (so it could stay a family vacation home). Louis Kiebooms was not my grandfather, but I suppose that J.F.K. (Johannes Franciscus Kiebooms) was his nephew. My grandparents had financial problems after the war and it's very obvious that this must be linked to the fact that Louis Kiebooms paid a fierce price for his humanity (he was sent to a concentration camp himself for 4 years). Btw, we never got the vacation home for real, Peter only brought the painting that hung in the staircase home and that painting opened a shutter in my mind - the woman on that picture was my mother (Katharina van Kleef) and I was Belisa Barca (Isabella van Keef), sitting on her father's lap (Petrus X), giving him instruction how to paint my mother, who was watching us at the wall. This was the first previous life I remembered and soon, there wer several lives in different periods. The oldest one is the life of Ka (and Inti), 26.000 years ago in present Peru. I mean, this is putting rice in one scale and gold in the other, but people don't give their chances away so easily. If those flash backs were part of a psychose, they would have faded away again, but they didn't and I found more and more evidences myself and saw how everything was suppressed for no reasons. I had a Facebook account and that worked really fine, but very soon, they started to block it over and over again, so I decided to using the comment box of YT videos instead. I understand that we're in the process of awakening on a collective level, but don't see the patterns that are making us blind again. I can accept the consequences of my own choices but can't accept the choices that have been made in my name, ignoring the whole narrative. Koning Filip of Belgium is exactly 30 years older than my eldest son (the reason why I married Peter in the first place) and it's obvious that Peter got a lot of support from the Netherlands when I decided to divorce him (I only knew his DNV mail address and saw that the mails ere often written by a Dutch and not a Flemish speaking person). My own e-mail address is corrupted because of it and it is impossible to use that fact alone to clear my name (because they saw it as my own problem, although this is a matter of emergency for the collective and my hourglass is empty for more than 11 years). It's so UNFAIR because those people already have more than they can consumate in their life time and I have to live carefully because I've been financially sucked empty, but that doesn't change the initial plan (and I get an emergency exit for myself and my beloved ones, so I can complete the life I was promised to have without public interference. This would and could only happen ONCE and wehave screwed it up again, staying blind for everything that happens under the radar. The rest of the story will explain itself - if we don't change our mentality asap, this is going to be an extremely karmatic period for all of us. I wanted to HELP you, but you pushed me away as if I was the sickness you wanted to avoid by all costs. There is no doubt left after seeing how sick people have become - it was all for the money and nobody thought about the price to pay ... Deny me, I don't mind anymore, problems do not disappear because you wat so, but because you've used your ability to solve problems without creating new ones (and this is the time when everybody shall have to pay for ones own contribution - I can't save the situation anymore, so it's up to you to decide how we'll fill in the future!)

Not true, but why would it be sad not to have power. Their role as royal family does have meaning.

I don't know if it's sad for them. I would not want to be in their position, but it's hard to imagine what it is like if you have grown up in that position. They don't know any other life. And they do have power. They don't have any direct political power, but their wealth alone gives them power. Added to that is that they do have a role in international relations; and certainly with more traditional countries. They don't have direct control, but they certainly have a lot of influence. There's a reason why the government usually acts in their interest and protects them from any criticism from the parliament.
