GREAT VIDEO! Glad see you spending time with kids, getting them involved in removing trash searching for treasures. Little man seemed to be eager to help which is really cool to see. NO ONE should be upset about you doing metal detecting and especially spending time with family. The type of things you do searching for people can be very emotional physical draining and you have balance yourself, your life style, and family to keep from getting burnt out or discouraged. Looks awesome there. You never know what you will find. Here I always take a small plastic shovel, to scoop up the sand around the hidden treasure. It gives a quick glimpse of what lies below, so I won't be stuck with a needle. Its sad to find this waste on our beaches. Many of the main beaches are raked by big equipment, so its hit or miss on finding anything. No beeps are great for bare feet beach goers though!! Love your channel!

Hello Nug. You do what you do when you want to do it. Hazards on the beach; hazards in the rivers and lakes; lost loved ones. Your calling does not have a specific title. You are one of the Angels and Heros that all of us have come to love, admire and pray for. I lived in Florida for a long time, and the beaches were full of garbage under the sand. My kids, myself and my husband (died 22 years ago) all stepped on one thing or another. Mostly glass (from beer bottles) and beer caps. They band drinking on the beach a long time ago. Right now, no glass containers are allowed. I love what you do. No matter what that might be.

You should really get a plastic cover for the coil..saves wear and tear. I was hoping that Gavin would at least dig up a couple of coins but other detectorists may have probably already scoured the area but not detected the trash items. Thanks for sharing. @@exploringwithnug just be careful. Don't use your hands. I witnessed some people doing this years ago while walking late afternoon on the beach back home. It was a group of about 5 people. Wasn't for sure what they were doing so we waited for them to move on went over and took a stick and dug up what they buried. It was a used needle. God bless

I’ve just dived into metal detecting KZbin in the last few days. Cool to see you dabble in it too as I’m new to your channel also. I think with what your metal detector retails for you’ll be fine on salt beaches. I’m looking at entry level detectors with salt in mind. By price alone I think yours will be more than capable with the salt problem

Thank you for saving a foot! Rusty nail, safety pins, bottle caps and bobby pins, have not place being buried in the sand. And lead sinkers especially, wrapped in fishing line, that babies or pets can swallow! Pick up your trash people! Its not that hard of a concept!
