go out for a run to this song...its so uplifting...its truly their masterpiece...but then I think that about many of their songs. To be honest I miss them and I definitely miss their long tracks

There are many people that don't like this type of music...maybe its reason that sometimes the world does feel like a cold dead place .... Long live EITS and their beautiful and optimistic music

There I was, it was the day before I went on a huge adventure when I was 21, I was there at the Metro Theatre that night. I remember this vividly from around 9:00 onwards, still, 10 years later as probably the best thing I have ever experienced. It prepared me for life, and prepared me to accept death. What a night.

They closed with this track when I saw them in Lincoln, NE in late September. Not their most stand out track but definitely one of my favorites. I'm not sure if the song was modeled after the Steinbeck novel of the same name but it mirrors the tone and pace of the novel almost perfectly. I would love to know if specific works inspired other tracks so directly.

Its an E-bow, meant to sound like a bow on a violin. It works by electromagnetically vibrating the strings. It's the same effect they use in Postcard from 1952, both combined with a slide.
