@@christianhabis8554 Oh, none taken. Btw, I'd suspect that commanding a squadron of some Lazer Commanche's might feel remotely similar to commanding a swarm of Twinblades. Hence you were able to control them this well. Is there any chance for summoning some clarity upon this very suspicion?

​@@Beleidigen-ist-Pflicht It's partially the reason yes. The other reason being that laser comanches are simply that good and they are currently the meta for the Laser General. I wouldn't say I controlled them very well, since I was suicidal with them at various points in the match, and I definitely could have spared a lot of losses, but live and learn I guess... They are fast, mobile, and deal tons of damage so it makes sense that I relied so much on them. Tanks are very good but they are slow, and in this case, they did not fare very well vs fast and mobile units like GLA rocket buggies. It all depends on various things!

Is it just me or the GLA is way too OP in this mod? I mean, the heavy tanks of the other two factions are barely able to hold against the pickup trucks and buggies of the GLA. That seems out of balance to me. Also note how the cruise missile launcher damages (or seems to damage) vehicles far less than the rocket buggies. Just seems very jarring to see visually, even if gameplay is the driving force behind these choices.

There wasn't much overlord versus buggy action in this game, but USA tanks have never been good against buggies. Also, the GLA side (mostly GLA, at least) ended up losing despite having a better economy and three superweapons to one. I haven't played the mod, but from the video here, requiring power for their superweapons and not having the GLA holes are definite downsides for them compared to Zero Hour.

I think the GLA tanks are pretty evenly match against China as the Overlord can easily wipe them out and they also have a long artillery tank.

No, they are balanced by the fact that their long range artillery are the least mobile and accurate compared to the other two factions. Tomahawk can fire immediately after stopping, nuke cannons have fast projectile speed while scud launchers have none of that. For a faction that rely on speed and maneuverability, they are bottlenecked by their slow moving artillery. This is not a problem with the original general game but in this mod, choke points leading into bases are prevalent forcing the GLA to power through defensive positions, something they are not good at. Not to mention due to the small infantry pool, the GLA were robbed of their ability to move through terrains and strike from many directions with the use of combat bikes. Pickup trucks and buggies are strong but they are also the only things keeping the GLA relevant in the game.

How is your FOV so much nicer on here than the actual mod? Is it a spectator thing? I cant stand the low FOV while playing. The flawless widescreen fov hack doesnt work with this mod either
