Stead is right about the school system needing to be restructured, but for the wrong reasons. You look at countries like Germany and you end up in a highschool that's devoted to enrollment in vocational school, apprenticeship, and/or working towards university study or dual academic and vocational credential for most schools Compare that to here in the United States, where the main buddies are all living, and you have most schools working on the outdated ideology of teaching kids to essentially turn into factory workers via some of the outdated teaching methods you might find. Although it is probably getting a touch better nowadays, there's still a ton of education reform that needs to be done in order for the United States to be able to maintain its' placement as a world power Also, if we did actually reform the education system then we'd have more people who are able to take charge of the nation in various industries due to the greater cognitive abilities that would come about from it
