This video features an Alstom Movia R151, 853/854, which is from CHD to serve CGL for the whole day, from EW4 Tanah Merah to CG1 Expo.
A new R151 trainset to serve CGL for its first time ever since the R151 "official" debut on CGL less than 1 week ago. Also recently debuted on EWL, and it managed to come over to CGL not long after!
Due to a track fault between the tracks that leads into Changi Airport Platform B, that particular section of the tunnel was closed off for trains to travel towards Expo from Changi Airport. Hence, 2 trains were seen doing Expo Bound. One (which is this trainset, 102 853/854) is from Tanah Merah to Expo and the other one (101 821/822) was seen doing from Expo to Changi Airport. Pretty rare itself to see Expo Bound Trains on CGL, since it only serves 2 stop on the branch. The train also crossover to the other tracks that leads into Expo Platform B to pick up passengers. Announcements was also made onboard trains to inform commuters of a need to transfer trains at Expo.
At Expo, both 821/822 and 853/854 would meet up with one another, allowing for an easier transfer between both trains to Tanah Merah (from Changi Airport) and Changi Airport (from Tanah Merah).
