Export a selection of Serato crates to USB and enable that USB for Rekordbox, CDJs and EngineOS

In this tutorial MixMasterG demonstrates how to create a Serato "performance USB" containing selected crate(s) from a Serato collection. That USB can be used in any Serato computer on both Windows and macOS.
After the procedure you can also use that same USB on:
• any Rekordbox computer (on both Windows and macOS)
• Pioneer DJ CDJ players
• optionally Denon's EngineDJ (on both Windows and macOS) and EngineOS players (=Prime 4 etc)
Maintaining the Serato crates, cues, loops, bpm etc on all those platforms. This USB is very easy to update when new tracks are added to the main Serato collection.
The whole procedure is 100% separated from the main Serato collection.

Oh Hell Yes! I'm a long time DJ/engineer/sound designer originally starting from vinyl, to Serato (when it first came out), to Traktor for many years and now headed back to Serato. Hey MMG. I found out how to FIX THE MACOS VENTURA FAILURE TO RECOGNIZE FAT32 USB drive issue. I spoke with the folks at Serato. The issue is that you need to enable Full disk access to Serato DJ Pro the same as you do for DJCU. Basically, if people go through your DJCU basic setup tutorial and grant Serato DJ Pro/Lite ALL of the same disk access and other permissions that you have to provide to DJCU then Serato will once again recognize FAT32 drives. Hope this helps, because it was a major headache for me initially until I figured this out. I tried it today and it worked so now I have to go back, reformat my USB and do the conversion all over again but at least I'm back to having a universally compatible USB.

The Pioneer controllers that support stand alone operation (such as the RX3) are compatible with Rekordbox exported CDJ USBs, and can also use this USB.

sounds like you didn't follow all the steps in the tutorial, most likely you did not export the crates to the USB first.

when doing this method, dragging a crate with sub crates in them from serato changes some of the names of my tracks to start with the name of the crate it was in + it duplicates each song 3 times. i havent been able to get around this problem for 3 days now.

There seems to be a bug in Serato when it comes to crates with nested sub crates, not much I can do about that.

@@MixMasterG so i finally got it working. i skipped the steps of copying crates onto a usb. instead i just installed all necessary software, and instead of dragging crates onto a usb and changing my serato crates with the crate renamer app, i skipped this step and i just opened DJCU and selected the crates i wanted, transfered and it worked flawless. no need to copy my tracks onto usb or change my serato crates names. thanks for this program, works really well.
