I would like to advise sweetpotatoes farmers not to use inorganic fertilisers,reasons being your produce will be tasteless ,shelve life will be short and tubers will have more water content. The main goal is to reduce synthesis residues of fertilisers which have side effects. Therefore it is best to apply mulching and dried leaves. If you grows tubers naturally your market value will definitely increases since organic is expensive. Tubers are vital remedy of all chronic diseases such as cancer,diabetes,stroke and metabolism balance.

As much as I love agriculture and I am very passionate about it. Agriculture should never be a pillar of any modern economy. If you look at all the functional economies like America, European countries and Australia etc you see farming and agriculture is only 3% of GDP Thank you
@enochmufunda96833 жыл бұрын
Yes, it should never be Grumpy Tinashe like you have expressly alluded to but despite that its industrialisation which drive economic growth experiences we should not shy away agriculture because it forms the basis of food security.

GDP looked at in isolation without considering how it is distributed is not very helpful. Many of those “functional” economies are built on the backs and sweat of exploited mass workers for the benefit of a few. Agriculture has the capacity to put money directly into the pockets of more people and their households without waiting for a pittance from the master every month, and dreading to find their names on that dreaded retrenchment list. Our focus should not be a modern economy as defined by others, but what enables us to feed ourselves and empower more people to be in control of their own destiny and to leave a meaningful inheritance for their children and grandchildren.
