Adobe Media Encoder is great, but you can also do this without AME with similar results: Choose H.264 as Output module. In its settings choose CBR, profile: Main, Level: 4.0. This is important, 5.0 will have small file size, but 4 will even be smaller with the same quality. 3 also works, but I use 4 as the size difference is negligible. Do not go to 2 or lower. But for the bitrate, you can go as low as 2.

I have a purchased AE template that's 42s long I've just done some minor mods to (added slide images and changed text). Every time I try to follow *this* method and settings I get "encoding failed". Adobe Community people seem to be saying that you should never render in AME straight to H.264 but to Quicktime first, but when I do that I get sound with no video (just black). Not sure what to do at this point.
@BrookerFilms3 жыл бұрын
Annoyingly, that happens. It has exported the video, it just won’t play in QuickTime or vlc. If you upload that file or drop it in premiere, you should see the video. Alternatively, you can convert the file in handrbrake and you’ll see your video
@HobokenSquatCobbler3 жыл бұрын
@@BrookerFilms Thanks for the reply. Handbrake fixed it right away! You'd think that for such a pricey software suite like Adobe that it could at least generate a useful error log when there's a failure, rather than just "encoding failed".
