Exposing Contrasts : Modi vs Dr Manmohan Singh Foreign Travels | EP. 176 | WDTDS
It is often discussed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi loves to travel to different countries. Much of the travel is required to be undertaken as a head of government. But then there are too many indications that all those visits may not be required, after all.
The indication is that PM Modi rarely briefs the President after completing his visit abroad. Not much is told officially either. The purpose is often released to the press with vague information.
Compare this with the travels of Dr Manmohan Singh during his ten years as Prime Minister. Each visit is well documented, even the transcripts of his speeches and press conferences are available on the pmindia.gov.in website. The only thing one may complain about is the missing photographs of Dr Singh's visits.
In contrast, nothing much is available for PM Modi's visits, except of course the abundance of his own photographs.
In this episode, I analyze the two very different styles of handling foreign visits by Dr Manmohan Singh and PM Modi. It truly brings out the statesman that Dr Singh was and a true world leader. PM Modi's purpose for visiting remains as opaque as that of the government he runs.

I like your short informative and educative episodes along with Dinesh Vohra Chanel videos and Dr.Paveen Sawhnay. In our country people with jovial habits call PM as a Prachar Mantri not as Pradhan Mantri! PMs 8.2 average foreign visits show fasting at home (82crores living on 5kgs ration vote bank), feasting Abroad. PMs itinerary has been benefitting Adani /Ambani buying out assets, making tie ups abroad than our Country! More than PM ,I feel that EAM Jaishankar (and Doval) visited the most to canvass for Nobel Prize for our PM. Hence PM has nothing to crow about his achievements because here everything is borrowed/udhaar ka sindhoor /thod phod defections raj niti hence he visits abroad to beat his danka with paid crowds, NRI Gjjjus and rich RSS supporters. Delayed FTAs are loaded against India. Nehru to Vajpayee used to fly on commercial flights/defense aircrafts achieving much more for us while neoRSS pracharak PM needed Rs.8500crores Boeing 777 creating enemies surrounding us with China's string of pearls also to his credit! RSS chief should answer this.
