I made a map and for literally a few hours it had like 700 people. Then it died off and only got like 10-20 people every once in a while. I ended up making around $300 just from that. The maps that have thousands all day probably make an insane amount of money. Its insane how much Fortnite pays map creators.

Everyone always complains about greedy companies taking like a 90% cut not giving creators anything. Now everyone hates on epic for paying map creators very very well what world are we living in man gamers rlly just be hating for the sake of hating these days. Also many ppl seem to forget that if ur mode has 80k players u could compare it to like a different game on steam with 80k players those games make way more. Ofc the maps aren't one complete game but a game within Fortnite but im betting u that Fortnite makes profit off of it since ur map gets 80k players to actively play epic game

Except they don't pay map creators unless they get those maps calibrated which, from everything I've seen, takes like 5k-10k players.... and the only ppl who can get those kinda numbers are already social media creators that are already making bank anyway. lol.

There is no way to know how much these map creators make unless they tell you. It is a forever changing sliding scale since the new ecosystem was implemented. Theres no definite explanation as to why but you're looking at 95th percentile creators and yes, it is very simple to make these maps with creative 2.0 and the new uefn system. But I believe it is true your just looking at the higher-paid users.
