Rajiv ji was talking about Gandhi in the pre independence time, and security of those times and now is different. He was not even a part of govt and he was regularly sent to prison like a commoners. Regarding his lifestyle, his own inner circle Sarojini naidu has talked about how Gandhi’s poverty is manufactured and needs high maintenance, like reserving a whole train compartment for him, and how his goat was richly fed. So Gandhi’s lifestyle cannot be compared with the real poor. I still have lot of respect for Rajiv ji, but I have one more rebuttal to make. He talked about our fearless freedom fighter who didn’t fear for their lives. So does that mean that every leader should do away with security arrangements? And not everyone is bhagat Singh. If there is too much expense on security arrangement then it’s not good but it’s their decision. And it’s still nowhere near paap party’s expenses. And bjp leaders are atleast way better than all the anti national leaders. And we don’t really have other choice. This paapi party came with the message of change and turned out to be worst offender.
