Hi Spencer. I love what you do. (Serious) day trader here. Been doing it for 4 to 5 years. Reached consistent profitability 1 year after starting. I would like to make one comment: Prop firms, in their majority do not authorize the use of what is called EA (Expert Assistant) or what the fake guru is calling trading software or whatever. Moreover, even big firms do not run one "trading softwares". They often run algos and these are right for some time and then they are tweaked, updated, changed etc. So for any gullible guy there, THERE ARE NO TRADING SOFTWARE that would make you rich. The best possible scenario is it will work for a certain period then it will stop when market conditions will change. In any case, thanks for this video, an eye opener...

The thing that gets me with those gurus is the seemingly lack of common sense in nowadays society. IF there would be a passive, easy, no risk involved, 100% guaranteed success rated way to become a millionaire, THEN why would anyone sane sell this information. If everyone is a millionaire then money will be devalued to an extend that we are back at where we started. Wishful thinking doesn´t work in reality. There is only so much money to go around, IF you make it then someone else loses it. The hard way is to find ways to lose less then you gain, without being a jerk an exploiting other people. Common society, you can do better then that, use that grey matter even if this means spencer would have less content to create.

9:30 correction, skip the REIT’s and just invest in either a spy index or total market (voo or vti) then it’s good advice. You don’t want any dividends in a taxable acct anyways, as it’s basically a forced withdrawal.

Fair advice. Most forget, though, that tax rates on dividends (and all long term capital gains) is 0% for income below $88k for married filing jointly. Just taking the standard deduction (~$25k) means a family can have total income around $120k before paying tax on those dividends. Add the max Schedule E deduction ($25k) for real estate “losses” and that family can be straight up upper class but paying nothing. Tax code was written by land owners and inheritors of portfolios.
@ARZiehm
@ARZiehm 11 ай бұрын
@@jaredflurry937 You make a fair point too. In my opinion, it almost doesn’t seem worth it at that point - if you’re making under 44k~ single or 88k married, the amount of capital working for you is pretty low anyways. Not to mention that most people, once they get their first “real job” will easily clear that number and get hit with the 15% tax, even if qualified. Most REITs are non-qualified dividends too making the tax situation worse - this is all assuming they’re in a financial position that they would care about tax drag.

@steverogers7601 Thats exactly why most nice people are poor. I get it, morality gets in the way. It gets easier once you realize morality is a human construct and the lives most of us live isnt natural. A natural life is the life we used to live before we domesticated ourselves. Survival of the fittest has no time for nice people. Those ancient rules are still in effect to this day. Why do you think the people at the top are so ruthless? They understand that life is inherently a competition. There are too many mouths and not enough to go around, even if there is enough to go around.

Especially nowadays with all the sites like this and countless others exposing these scammers every day. I no longer feel sorry at all for people that get scammed by this type of thing. There is a point where you have to take self responsibility for your own well being. If you are told repeatedly don't go walking downtown at 3:00am or you will likely get robbed and you continue to do it anyway, you take a large part of the blame when you do get robbed.

Pro day trader here, Forex trading is not easy , whether using a bot or manually. So many variables involved, experience, intuition, risk management , discipline, financial knowledge etc. Worse still most bots these gurus sell are completely bs , add to that the fact bots can't really adapt to changing market conditions well enough and that is a recipe for disaster for your portfolio. Don't ever believe anyone that tells you trading is easy and it will be on autopilot. They are selling you a lie .

10:40 - EVERY time I hear some whacko say: "Passive income", it's a massive red flag. Basically it gets trumpeted as "easy money for nothing..." And KUDOS for the Lucky Lopez plug! I LOVE his channel! He's spoken quite a bit about car rentals and risks with it too.

Dividends from stocks can be considered passive income, and it is legit. Also, some business owners get overrides which is passive income. It doesn’t have to be red flag.

I do run my own very niche trading account where I average roughly 8% monthly returns. Will I show you how? Heck no! The liquidity is limited and no way am I sharing it with anyone. It also means I won’t become a trillionaire by next Christmas thanks to compounding interest. I make a fine little return on the $50k I run through the program though and I love the trading business overall. I share all that to say this: there definitely are guys with a trading system that reliably makes strong monthly returns. Are the legit ones about to sell it to you? Absolutely not. Why would I when I can just run the system myself and make all the available profits myself?
