As with any other market out there, money is not made overnight. Trading with leverage doesn't necessarily mean you can turn your $1000 to a million in months or something. Beginners do not have that insane amount of ability to do that. The moment you first blow your account is the moment you realize it is not as easily as these people make it seem.

Forex simply means foreign exchange. It's a simple way anyone can make money off the foreign exchange market as it involves buying currencies at a lower price and selling when high, just like stock but with currencies

I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . If anyone can answer this question it would be very much appreciated... What percentage of growth is realistic in the forex market over the course of a year? I'm hearing 25% would be classed as a good year. However I have had instances of growing my account by 20% in a single month. The issue I find is that you'll have periods of upturn and downturn and in the end a net positive of 25% is a good outcome at the end of the year. I don't exactly see that is all that profitable in all honesty. I've hit a wall and I've resigned myself to the idea of just dropping it. Like you'll have months where you make money and months where you lose money, it seems like an eternal struggle and the only thing that saves you is risk management. The only reason one would make 25% is you don't lose as much as you gain but is this thing profitable in the long run? I've given about 3 years so I don't feel that regretful but if I were to give 10 more I'd most certainly demand results. I've worked hard and have a fairly good understanding of my own trading strategy but I'm at a point where I'm questioning profitability. To me it seems I'd be better of working a job and saving money to move into property investment which was the whole reason I started forex in the first place. The idea was to build capital from forex to pour into property

Making 25% consistently each year is actually fantastic, especially on larger accounts. Shooting for bigger returns results in dangerous swings on the account, and one bad swing can bankrupt you!

I've never actually taken a trade risking more than 1% so it's pretty much impossible for me to have blown an account 😂, so yea I wasn't really swinging for the fences as they say.
