Cheaters almost made me quit multiplayer FPS games on PC altogether, because I don't have that much time to play and I don't want to lose even 30 minutes of my gameplay due to some loser ruining my games I was sceptical about Valorant not having a lot of cheaters, but comparing to other FPS games it indeed doesn't have that many blatant cheaters and. At least for now, I can still enjoy multiplayer FPS games on PC but I'm afraid that Riot is starting to lose the battle against cheaters slowly

Going over and being rude and mean will not solve anything. Direct your intentions to Riot in a constructive way. I joined their discord server the exact same one, after he posted it in chat and we got destroyed 98% HS shooting through smokes perfectly. They are trying to get customers verified so they can make a new server if this one gets banned since you exposed them.

depends on how big the gap in true rank is, but at the most extreme I would say playing against a smurf is worst. Can compensate/bait the iron, but way harder challenge to deal with a cracked immortal + enemies of same rank as you.

Now tbf, I had an immortal friend when I was in gold and we used to 5 stack, rest were silvers and one plat. It wasn't because he wanted to win rank up faster, we all just wanted to play together. Ofc we don't do that a lot. Max 1 or 2 games a day, mostly like 5-10 games a week. Intention was just fun. The skill gap happened to be huge

Hi mate I cover the same thing in Australia and the % of what you're talking about is about 90% on Sydney servers 24/7 the game is almost unplayable for the remainder of us. Riot need to clean house and employ people like us to actually fix the problem. But they won't because they are in on it too. Too much revenue and too much hard work to save an already dead game from the brink. Next year when "the finals" comes out Valorant will go down in the history books as what not to do in this game space. Riot will also be looking at huge downsizing and become irrelevant again. Bro, I play 5-stacks, and the amount of smurfs, boosters, its so common, like I just could not rank up. It is so common that I don't want to play 5 stack anymore with my friends. One of these friends was stuck plat 2 in our 5-stack matches, he solo q and shot up to diamond. Riot really needs to do something about this.

My respect for having the courage to speak openly about this. Having said that, I must say that I see that kind of sus play almost every time I play Valorant (not every match, but at least a few times every evening spent playing) and I'm amazed that this is so new to you. Maybe this is a consequence of your rank and who you play with. I spend a lot of time playing casually in unranked matches and Escalation, trying to build skill and "get good", and see this a lot there (interestingly, I've played multiple times with a player named 'I miss him'). Let me say, it matters even there where rank isn't a factor. Totally ruins the match when one player on the team goes 40 and 7, even when they're on your own team. How do I build skill when I'm constantly getting insta-tapped when peaking, etc. These players tromp around the map, "W down", bunny hopping the corners with no apparent impact on their ability to deliver no-info, 2-tick taps at every engagement. I don't even bother to report anymore. The entire community seems to want to pretend this isn't happening.

I know that feeling all too well.. We had an Astra in our team when we were 4-stacking(It was way back then and fracture was in the ranked map-pool when it was newly released ) And the Astra, went and left and sometimes sat back and watched. We were not winning but finally we squared up and started pushing.. That's when the Astra started to sabotage us, on one round, my 3 of my friends handled a good post plant situation and started diffusing. The Astra then used a suck while one of them was diffusing and we lost because the spike exploded. The dude also 1)Bought a Vandal and started spraying when we were gonna push the certain site 2)Sucked the entry to sabotage him 3)On attack, took the spike and used to hold it off 4)Was probably with the enemy team as all of a sudden they were being toxic and when astra successfully sabotaged a round.. One of the enemies literally said "Omg Astra I love you".. Obviously we started reporting alot but we never got any results.. Immediately after the match I went on Google, KZbin and found out that the Astra.. Did this to get his account to a lower rank so that he could sell it to diamond or plat smurf. There are websites, discord servers and jusy so many mediums of these kind of shady stuff. Be careful out there everyone 😀

If you look at the won games on the match history screenshots you show around with the KDA's they're displaying it looks almost like every account they boost is queued with a cheater. Almost every match is a 13 - single digit stomp or the enemy ff'd. This is so god damn blatant I'm surprised it's working so well for them.

Even in unrated games, for some reason some people test matches out and we get destroyed by one enemy every single round. It's not even fun in unrated at this point.... I don't play ranked at all purely because of potential cheaters

I'm glad you are bringing awareness to this as I've never before seen cheaters in the game but just recently I've seen an uptick in them especially at high ranks. But I'm going to have to disagree with your assertion for the 5 stack queue being changed. As a high ranked player myself I enjoy being able to 5 stack with some of my lower ranked friends and most of the time the games actually are pretty balanced. Also when an Immortal is on your team during a 5 stack the RR gain is actually reduced by 75%. That one game you showed that Reyna was probably just having the game of his life during that because I don't think I'd be able to Ace 3 times against a full Plat/Dia team.

You're never going to know how the enemy team is going to shape up lol. Hmmmm I have another idea! What if it didn't take the average of the whole team and just went off the best player, but you don't get a decrease in RR anymore? So it kinda fixes the issues of the average rank being abused sometimes but you don't get the massive RR punishment for having to perform really well if your teammates are a lower rank?

While the RR gain is reduced the RR loss is not, going up against somebody who is a higher level then you and losing not only takes away RR but takes way more since it's based on how well you did in the match, so if that one high rank is completely shitting on you and you have no kills but a bunch of deaths, not only do you lose RR, you lose more RR then if you would've gotten a normal 5 stack.

I think that raze from OMEGA earth could have came to ALPHA earth just before killjoy seeked permission from Brim to go to the concert. From what I know getting the "account unbanning" is only possible when you have access to administrative rights on the account server. This means either some has access to the server with administrative rights or someone inside riot is involved. The better way to ban would be to do a device ban where the accounts are banned on a certain device using the identifier ID of the hardware.

@@SirJeppy every piece of hardware has a identifier ID and it is somewhat easy to implement as it is mostly accessible. Some games do have this implemented in their anti cheat softwares like PUBG. But even this won't be effective if the hackers have access to the server as i told above. They will simply unban their devices.

This just goes for competitive games in general, people will do absolutely anything to boast abt this too, or even ruin competition. I remember there was a cheater for a game that I played, made by SEGA, and there was an event with ranks, they took Rank 2 through pure botting and the company sniped their account too late, this cheater got the awards, and it was upsetting cause people spent money on this game, everything was ready, only for them to not be able to get the rank they worked hard and prepped for because this account got gems through illegal means, botting, etc. It absolutely sucks and I hope companies in general (even SEGA got their own issues with reports) seriously wake up. What's even more insane is that, when that account got banned, this guy CAME BACK with a new account and tried to steal ANOTHER rank 2, but we were able to report days before the event, and he got sniped before the event is over. It's absolutely ridiculous. And stupidly, when the community called him out on twitter, he accidentally exposed himself for committing chargeback fraud and it was just a clown show. Hopefully he doesn't come back ever again cause the community knows

9:27 ugh, this take is a tough one. I understand that you're angry about an Immortal being able to play with a silver in 5stack but as a person who's affected by the same issue (my high elo friends are plat 3, diamond 2 and asc 3/immo1) let me tell you: i sometimes want to play ranked games with my friends because they often prefer Ranked over Unrated. Period. And this is why these weirdly mixed-up teams happens. What would be a better solution? Having the high elos smurf on low elo accounts to make the matchmaking more "equal" and then have them stomping on the real low elo players? I get the point that a constant 5stacking with high elos will boost the low elo accounts, thats true, my friends pushed me from s1 to s3, and i consider myself being boosted in a way. Although they say that i earned the RR because i added to the game, it still feels odd. But now i'm solo q-ing there and i don't do THAT bad as i expected myself to. So for me it is a constant struggle to balance between "doing solo q alone", "playing with my friends but just unrated because it will be more fair-ish" and "probably getting carried and boosted in 5stack ranked but play with friends".

Honestly, compared to other games, Riot does a great job of managing cheaters, but they’re not perfect. I’m not sure if this is related, but I was just playing a quick game of spike rush, and my team’s Pheonix was constantly flashing the team and molleying all of us, I spammed report but he still hasn’t gotten banned (probably because he didn’t kill anyone, I got down to 10hp tho)

Ok I would like to clear something up here and give you all a little understanding about how these cheats work The only reason on how these cheats can work is because of them abusing data hosted on the client side (your computer) but they cannot interfere with server sided data (e.g. credits, rounds, ammo, any data hosted on riot servers) so most cheats ONLY work with the data host on the client side (Most because if they do manage to get a virus into riots systems they can create a server sided cheat) Now the way that Riot's Vanguard works is by looking through processes on a KRNL level (Cheats are required to run on that level to actually work and is also why Vanguard was disliked by most of the community on release, also keep in mind that CS doesn't use KRNL level anti cheats and is why they are plagued with hackers) KRNL is basically where the most important processes occur (OS, system cooling, ect) and Vanguard just scans through your computer and this level for anything trying to interfere with Valorant, most cheats are detected after a while but some can go undetected until patched. Vanguard Banning When bans are given out Vanguard will take the systems MAC address and blacklist it from creating accounts/playing valorant. Your MAC address is something permanent that comes with your computer and CANNOT be changed easily, if you are MAC banned then the only way around that is by purchasing an entire new computer, OR by getting a spoofer which is something we see in the video. Keep in mind MAC banning is ALOT more powerful than IP banning, to get around an IP ban all you would need to do is call your ISP and change the IP or just get a VPN. The only way to actually make account banning effective is to make creating accounts harder (e.g. requiring a phone number). If cheating software developers are found they can be sued for loss of income (Valorant players that stop using Riot's product as a result of the third party software and then losing money from Valorant players leaving) and/or breaking the terms of service when using Valorants license (A 'license' is give to you when you accept the TOS when downloading Valorant and it states something like 'By agreeing to this legal document you will not interfere with the 'Valorant Client' by using any unauthorized third party software'. This means that anyone that creates/distributes/uses these softwares can be held legally responsible. Hope that clears anything up for you all If I made any mistakes just mention it in the comments and I'll change it

@@SirJeppy I believe that the only way to counter spoofing/smurfing is requiring a phone number to create accounts or it will at least make it harder for them to create accounts and cheat. for example only allowing 1 account per phone number and when that account is banned you also blacklist that phone number, that would make it alot harder for them. without preventing them from creating new accounts Riot is basically turning the tap on in a bathtub with holes in it.

They HDWR ban because Vanguard is a "kernel class rootkit", they basically have access to a lot on your pc, with a HDWR ban, you ban every account that logged with the same tagged hardware, it is possible to avoid by playing in the BIOS and shit but it is very painfull to do, so boosted account that get sold could possibly get all banned because they logged on the same PC of whoever is selling account.

Like sure, unrated isn't as important as ranked, but you're losing the fun of playing the game itself. Loss after loss against the one high ranked enemy carrying them isn't fun, especially for causal players. Valorant won't be able to keep more players if it's that easy to get solo carried all the time.

afaik in League you aren't able to 5-stack in Ranked as for example a Silver with someone who is higher than Gold - so I don't get why Valorant didn't do the same thing I'm not sure anymore tho, since it's been a while since I played League or ranked there to begin with

Just a sharing, I tried comp 5 stack with my boys (and yea we were unranked), and enemy jett was immortal 3 while others are only iron 1. I recently check their account and realize that other 3 are still getting boost while literally only 1 person they climb to silver by themselves Not fun tbh :(

I know Riot bans accounts, on LOL, based on ip or computer seriers witch you cannot change. So if they can do this in LOL I think they will implement this in Valorant as well.

the only way to avoid cheaters is prolly not to 5 stack and also dont q at odd times. val cheating "problem" is very minisucle and affects a small portion of the playerbase. not to mention you will prolly get your rr back rather quickly. lets be thankfull we have a good ac unlike many other games like csgo and rs6

Yes, this is the sad reality. Iam in Diamond 1 and my team get destroyed by an unranked Jett, who play with silver and gold players. He using obviosly aim, and wh and he dont hide it at all. This is disquisting, i was happy when i get in Diamond. I spend money on the game, i spend so uch Time and after that i see a lot ofg boosted and cheater people in my elo. I think time to say good bye for the game. After csgo it was a good game, but the cheaters destroy everything. I can’t even play the game anymore. Between the hackers and the toxicity, it’s just not fun anymore. I love the idea of valorant and properly played games are awesome. But my account has been hard stuck bronze 3 for a year and i don’t have enough friends that play valorant to 5 stack. It’s really unfortunate and I wish the devs would do something to combat this. I was always suspicious of the report button not working and now that ik that it basically doesn’t do shit, it’s hard to want to support riot games when there haven’t been any changes made to anything. Very frustrating. I hope riot opens their eyes to what a shit community they’ve built. Obviously not everyone is shitty but there’s an overwhelming amount of bullshit i see in this game and i hate it.

I'mma report this issue to Riot Games along with the hacker's discord server link. Tired of this bullshit. I've faced a dude with 59 kills and thought that he just had a better game sense and must be hard stuck bronze for 2 years now. But now I know that this is the case. I'mma head to Riot's support page and report this bullshit. Thanks Jeppy for the info. Hope they do something about it.
