My mom made me watch a disturbing movie when I was 9. So- one night at around 1:00 in the morning, my mom caught my older sister talking to strangers on the internet and planning to meet up with them. She was seriously worried about her and took away most (if not all) of her privacy. She later went on to keep talking to the man at school. The teacher found out and told my mom. My mom then made me and all of my family watch the movie “Megan is missing” as a way of warning and scaring us.

My university had a whole scandal where a prof used the n word in class also using that bs “educational purposes” excuse and when people complained and called for her to be fired a group of about 30 other profs wrote and signed an open letter and petition supporting her and calling for the school to allow profs to use slurs while teaching class because otherwise it’s “infringing on academic freedom…” it was a whole mess. But at least it gave us a nice and neat list of whose classes to avoid taking if it’s possible with our program requirements 😭

In my degree, English studies or English philology, we study, amongst other things, American literature and we read African American authors that use that word. I'm from a country where this word is not used because we speak a different language, but still, once, I heard a (white) guy saying it because of a song and I was shocked for a moment, I told him he couldn't use that word and he was confused because it was a song and he didn't really know the meaning of what he was saying. Nevertheless, in class we were reading "Sweat" by Zora Neale Hurston and the n word appears quite a lot. Our teacher said that she expected us to know what that word meant, that she was aware some people thought it could be used in an academic context, but that she was not going to say it, period. A guy started arguing that it was an academic context and that he should be allowed to say it or write it if it was needed, for academic purposes. The class was very quiet and the professor said she couldn't make him do someone he didn't want to (not saying the word in this case), but that he should respect her decision of not doing it. Then he wanted to read and I swear to you he said the n word with some kind of perverse satisfaction. I can understand that the majority of people in my country don't know about this, but he did and still decided to use it so fuck him, he's a stuck-up ass*** anyways, but I hope he suffers the consequences of things like this in the future.

I think they should talk to their father first. Tell him that you know he’s having an affair and you’re gonna tell mom. Because mom deserves to have a faithful relationship and dad deserves to be open with his sexuality and be with who he actually wants to be with. It’s time to confront it and end the relationship
@carolinpurayidom45702 жыл бұрын

I agree! Talk to the dad first and then the mom. It might even be that he’s bisexual, the mom knows that he’s bisexual, and he’s just cheating. Shitty situation for everyone involved but I’d talk to the dad first and make it clear that no matter how that conversation goes, you’re going to your mom next either way. Also sucks bc there’s always the chance that the mom doesn’t believe their kid
@thatb1h8552 жыл бұрын
i would give him an ultimatum like, if you don’t tell in x amount of days/weeks/etc im doing it, bc i don’t wanna get in the middle of that mess😭😭
@ozzys31292 жыл бұрын
I'm gay and I'd tell the mom right away without confronting the dad. The mom is getting exposed to STDS like any cheating scenario, so I'd tell, but especially since it is MLM she's at an even higher risk. If you wait for him to tell her she may be more willing to take him back by him saying "he can change it". I know quite a few relationships where this happened especially since they've been together for so long. The thing is you should never believe it because you cannot change it. 99% they have another affair planned or unplanned since they cannot control it. All it leads to is more heart break and usually with the other receiving a lifetime STD (like HIV for MLM or Herpes for WLW) if they didn't already. I'm not saying push him out of the closet, a spouse can be civilized about it and just tell others they split up because they never got along. It's a lot more common situation than what you think.

The best way to deal with a toxically competitive person, would be to just shrug, and tell them they've won (doesn't matter if it's in the middle of an argument, or a board game, this strategy will work for ANY situation the toxic competition is happening). The sudden forfeit on your part will not just surprise them, but it will also yank the control they thought they had in the situation right out from under them. They no longer have the ability to prove they are superior, or even the winner. It may piss them off to no end, but, just declare it was a good game and give them the opportunity to shake on it. There is no compromising with a toxically competitive person.

That sounds all fine and good but personally, I would not have done that at all. Like you're cheating on my mom, and you think im going to spare you some information. If my dad cheated on my mom, I would tell her that and who he was cheating with. Man or Woman. I don't care. You don't get to cheat and expect me to know and not tell her EVERYTHING. And if he has a problem, then maybe, just maybe, he shouldn't cheat. You cheated on my mom; you don't get the luxury of "coming out" on your own time.

My confession: My older sisters used to tie me up to the railings of the stairs when I was younger just so that they could ‘clean’. & they’ve also locked me out of the house before for that same reason. So I ended up unlocking a window ahead of time Bc I just knew they’d do it again. & alas. They unlocked me out of the house again, so I crawled back in through the window. Also. One of my older sisters used to take my favorite stuffed animal (I LOVED this stuffed animal) & throw it out a second story window, just to make me cry.

3:19 Im filipino and recognized right away what the dish is. When the message said "pig blood" and "traditional food from my island" I think this is a filipino dish called dinuguan and it tastes DELICIOUS. If ur filipino, please comment agree. The pig blood is red at first but, once you you cook it will turn a really dark brown color. In the Philippines, the dish is also known as chocolate meat because of how the pork blood resembles a chocolate sauce. I reccomend eating it with RICE! So no the parents didn't set the person up, it was the person's fault for drinking something random in the fridge. Make sure Courtreezy sees this

I have a confession- Once my sister got really mad at me and threw a charger at me. It made a hole in my forhead. My parents being deaf didn't hear me crying so I went downstairs, they cleaned it and put a band-ad on it. My dad went upstairs to fix something in me and her room, she thought she was gonna get yelled at. I had lied to them saying "I accidentally dropped the charger and it hit my forehead" they wondered how it happened but thought it was true. To this day I me and my sister are the only ones who know the truth and I just had a small dent in my forehead for a while but it's gone now

bro one of my gym teachers attended an anti-mask and anti-vax rally and appeared on the news with her FACE ON THE COVER OF THE ARTICLE. you can't even believe how shocked we were because she was always speaking out for racial equality and for LGBTQ+ rights 💀 edit: for those of yall wondering why we were so shocked, i guess it was because she also brought up the topic during gym class all the time about how she thought people who got the vaccine were irrational and didn't care about humanity. that's mostly the reason why we were so shocked. she had always been talking about how we as students should grow up to be strong willed and always defended us. but now she was actually lowkey talking ab some crazy stuff. so basically, she said that everyone should be free to di ehatever they want, except called us ignorant for getting vaxed.
@wonderfulrose4772 жыл бұрын
KaraDUN Probably because anti covid vax people have been repped by the media as more evil than nazis lately. So if you don’t support them you must be a horrible person all around. Identity politics basically.
@youmakemespeak3t2 жыл бұрын
anti Vax and mask aren't evil people
@bribread2 жыл бұрын
@@youmakemespeak3t yes they are cause they always wanna control other people's bodies. Anti Vax parents - try to control kids and force them to abide by THEIR rules and don't let kids vaccine even if they want to. They need to mind their business Anti Mask - don't care about getting other people sick and think they're the most factual and correct people in the world, they go against scientists and are rude for no reason, sometimes even resorting to violence; anti mask people are genuinely assholes and don't deserve a spot in hospitals if they happened to get sick with covid cause that's on them. Biggest thing they have in common is they're uneducated and they think they know better than certified and educated individuals who have spent YEARS learning and researching things related to their careers.
@wonderfulrose4772 жыл бұрын
Peachy Bri I hate to break it to you but there has been a lot more “body control” attempts by the pro vaxxers. They’ve been trying to force everyone to get them for a while now. Most people that aren’t getting the covid vax don’t care if other people choose to. They just don’t want it themselves. Your comment on denying anti maskers hospital entry is funny. Are you also okay with denying obese people hospital entry? Because obesity is 95% of the time a self inflicted problem and leads to so many health problems (kills a lot more than covid).
@wonderfulrose4772 жыл бұрын
KaraDUN That’s how I see it and I’m glad some people like you can be more rationale and middle ground about it. The media has tried to create huge division through the longevity of covid and it’s really annoying how extreme people have become. I think it’s totally legit to not blindly believe in science and do your own research. Most of the vaccines that are recommended to us have nearly 100+ years of research behind them.

Sibling confession: (for context I'm deathly allergic to peanuts, if i eat one, i die) my brother always loved to scare and terrorize me whenever he wanted to so when we were younger and our mom was drying her hair, my brother would get a huge chunk of peanut butter on a knife and chase me around the house chanting "I'll kill you, I'll kill you/ you're gonna die/ imma get you". (this wasnt a one time thing) Another time, we were swimming in a pool and I was underwater. Since I used up my oxygen, I tried to swim to the surface and just as I got to the surface, my brother pushed my head underwater and kept me under the water. Thankfully my mom immdediatly jumped into the water to separate us, so that only lasted maybe 10 seconds or so.
@ChristineOguche2 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh, I'm appalled! If you don't mind me asking do you think your brother might have some sort of pyshcological problem (I'm suggesting sociopath or pyschopath)? You must be so scarred from those events. Do you still talk to your brother, what is he like now?
@pavender30732 жыл бұрын
He does have something, but I won’t tell what it is just for privacy, but he does lack empathy. Those events weren’t too scary for me just cause there’s been worse (not saying I wasn’t scared when they happened which i was). But things have gotten better, I don’t talk to him much because we’ve become distant and I don’t mind that at all! One of the things I do for him is empathy building where I try to make him see others pov or “being in another person’s shoes” which it does help him a bit to understand other people.

Then don't marry a woman if you're a gay dude. Even if he found out after being married, don't cheat regardless, just tell her the truth. Going behind her back like that is him asking to be outed, he deserves it ngl.
@kimmydawns63542 жыл бұрын
@@tired247 Thank you. I'm tired of this narrative that gay men that are married to women shouldn't be outed or are given a pass if they cheated and my point is, so it's okay to ruin and waste someone else's time and life just because you are unable to be open with yourself? I know that it's not always safe to come out but if he wants to remain DL he should inform the parties involved so that they are on the same page or at least leave women tf alone and date your lover in secret🙄🙄🙄. If he later found out that he was gay, he could've just told her and ended the marriage without being a cheating scumbag. I just hate how the woman's feelings are never taken into consideration in circumstances like this. Gay men don't get a pass to use women as their safety blankets and engage in secret love affairs. It's not that hard to just date secretly or remain single until further notice rather than emotionally manipulate someone like that to your advantage.

In all seriousness though, the "Microdosing on Gaslighting" one is straight up mentally abusive. No one deserves to have to experience what they did to their mother. Even if their mother's abusive as well, it's still not justified. You're just finding some reason to be just as bad, and regardless, an abuser will abuse anyone regardless of whether or not their target/victim is abusive themselves. This shit literally kills people and nearly killed me growing up & into early adulthood. PLEASE if anyone ever treats you like that, get out ASAP. It might sound dramatic, but please please believe, it escalates. Faster than you may think. And there may also be other forms of abuse present, too. I'm sorry to say it, but anyone who behaves like that doesn't change. They're wrong about you & your worth, and you don't need them; you never did & never will. Regardless of what they say, you will be safer without them, even if it may not seem like it. They don't care about you; never did & never will, because they're not the person they led you to believe they are. Of course that's heartbreaking, and you must let yourself grieve that, but first you have to get away to a place where it's safe to do so. Also PLEASE go to therapy. It's not your fault, but you still need to heal. All in all though, it doesn't define you, and there is still ultimately so so so much more to life.
