This was amazing! It would be even better if you could punctuate when to use development builds instead of expo go. I think development builds are the ones to go with when dealing with auth libs and stuff like that that require face ID etc, right?

I think this is finally solving my issue with Google SignIn, the previous library was deprecated. I have a question, is this the recommended way for developing my apps? like should I continue with this development build? Im confused on that part, not sure if I have to stop using expo go and work on this build until I finish.

Copy and pasting the link does not work. It is not an http link and your app does not allow whatever format that is shown in the cli @ Metro waiting on. Even this simple basic oversight is completely analogous to the overall trash fire that is expo. So many constant issues. Impossible to eject from fully managed. Impossible to upgrade sdk's. Lack of support in export go if you do in fact not upgrade your sdk.

Super helpful video! Question: is there a straightforward way to install BOTH the development build and production build of an app on the same device? (iOS in my case) Now it forces me to uninstall one for the other, which is a bit annoying when you want to develop on a next iteration of your app, but also still see the 'real thing' meanwhile.

Use a different bundleIdentifier and/or package name when creating a development build

The second time I scan the code to open the build, it asks what app to use to open it, I accidentally clicked Brave (it only showed me browsers) and now it only tries to use brave and won't open so I need to manually send the URL to my device as it won't find the server automatically. I'll note I am using an unconventional set up where I am developing remotely using an Ngrok tunnel. But the manual URL works fine, super helpful video. Thanks!

I finally found a video that explains what I want. Thank you a lot. I'm trying to install it on my iphone and I followed through the end and i finally get this Error: "the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection." I'm sure it is complaining about "http". I don't know how to resolve this right now.

Update: I should've just skipped to make development build on a device 😭 Past comment: Mine doesn’t launch the project manager. It just opens open the latest version I have in TestFlight. I can get the development builds to work on minimal viable apps but not on my current main app that my users use.

Agreed, it's just basically a wrote instruction set, no explanation... Says we are going to make a dev build for iOS devices, starts off by mentioning we are going to include both "Android & iOS devices and one for the simulator..." 😕
