It's bewildering to me that the numbers of views and likes of Steve's tutorials isn't in the tens of thousands... yet. The content is highly relevant, well and clearly presented and the array of lessons (videos) cover the territory quite completely. Many, like this one, illustrate the techniques without the need to be using a particular luminosity blending panel. I am very appreciative of Steve's generous sharing of knowledge and skills as a teacher. Thank you!

Hey Jim, thanks so much for your nice words, it means a lot to know my content is appreciated. A handful of my videos have taken off over the years, but recreating their success on demand is proving impossible! So I'm just concentrating on putting out the best videos I can and trusting the increased numbers will come :-) Thanks again! Steve

I agree with Jim's comment below. I really appreciate the time to produce and share these Steve. I've learned so much from your workflow and have your panel, which I use regularly. Keep up the great work!

It just breaks my heart to see how underrated your videos are, this tutorial on Luminosity mask is what I was scouring the KZbin for the last whole week. Thank you so much!

@@SteveArnoldPhoto Can I ask what was your brush hardness when you were masking out the selection. Because when I am trying the same with my photos, the unselected area is also being masked out to some extent.
@SteveArnoldPhoto4 жыл бұрын
Brush hardness is usually 0% unless I make a mistake and forget to change it! lol If you're seeing the brush be applied in areas you think it shouldn't be based on the selection, then this video might help clear up why that's happening: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gauQdHyLe7qLn9U

Hey Steve I have a question if I just have two shots a 2 stops under and one properly exposed foreground I’m having issues with trees in the frame how do I fix it 😭

This is the first video of yours that I watched. I like the second part, I got inspiration and ideas for my workflow. But I think your video title is misleading: you don't use a real luminosity mask. You "only" use the red channel, which contains most of the bright areas of the image. when I clicked on the video I was hoping to see that you would use your pannel.

I don't understand why you aren't using your panel in your tutorials, you make it so much more complicated by using the channels.

Not everyone watching these videos has my panel. I use it on some videos, not on others :-)
