I like the idea, the photo of Newry shows us through tracks with overhead wires, meaning I think the newry line will become a main line, it’s also obvious newry harbour won’t remain a single track station, it will most likely get upgraded to multiple to cope with extra traffic, that whole branch is poorly served so will be nice to see it get frequently used again just like when it was first added

In all honesty I think this is a very bad idea. The only thing that makes Waterline relevant is the fact that it branches off to stations which are non interchangeable. Adding this update/extension will only make Waterline pointless coz you might as well just put connect out there instead
