The 0802 motors are a great fit for this configuration with those props. It is awesome that these smaller quads are starting to include VTXs capable of 350mW, probably great for penetration especially indoors at 200mW compared to 25mW. The tune looks amazing from the DVR flight footage, and as you mentioned the wide angle view has its advantages and disadvantages on a tiny quad like this. The quad has a decent amount of Power and nice speed too, awesome flying! Flight time is pretty good for the racing type of flight that you demonstrated too. I think that the 22g weight is definitely acceptable for the conponents used on this build, penetration is also great for the size and lower mW setting than usual. ELRS is definitely the future of protocols especially for long range and Whoop applications. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the VTX test. It would be a pain to check out, but I'd be curious to know how much of the reception is purely down to the VTX power and how much is the Rapidfire module? e.g. if you used older (or cheaper!) goggles/receiver, how much worse would it be?
@cedricgrandseigne3 жыл бұрын
The quality of vidéo feedback won't drastcally change from a 20$ eachine receiver to a 150$ one, what changes is the availabity of the picture. With picture fusion from the top receiver, you don't loose picture while moving from Rx1 to Rx2 and vice versa, as both module are always in use. Good antennas are more important.

@NickBurnsFPV3 жыл бұрын

@ProjectMockingbird3 жыл бұрын
So, it must be a new frame to swing those 35mm props. I did notice in your video it seemed to handle putting the power on in the corners a bit better than 31mm and it's good to see another company try to do 35mm. I would personally put on TW 22k or HM 22k motors as they don't eat batteries as much and use a 260 to race. At 22g, it's not horrible, but 20g is about right...and honestly I don't think I've ever lost a race because I was 22g vs an 18g whoop, but yeah, if you are all equally matched in skill and never crash, maybe a lighter whoop helps...I just think we get too hung up on it. ;) I've been taking a break so not up on things, but I thought I heard you can't put Emu on this FC yet? That would be sad as this could be a great setup for Emu just like the NBD one, but no Emu makes it hard to keep it around. And to be totally honest, I think they should ditch that heavy and big VTX and make a super light 25mw one for racers...but I get it. Oh, and terrible antenna placement :P
@NickBurnsFPV3 жыл бұрын
Yes, my understanding EMU doesn't support ELRS aio yet. Also we can't update the elrs rx on the board until betaflight is updated, this seeminly put EMU behind being able to support elrs for a time, but that time could be short as development can happen at any time. :)

@@SergioLopez-vu5lv To my knowledge the only way to know is to flash elrs on the device. In the case of a micro quad with and all in one flight controller we have to flash the betaflight version. Before flashing our micro quad we need to save a backup file to restore the settings after flashing, we often call this a diff. We use the betaflight app with the quad usb connection, go to the cli page and type "diff", then click the button to save the output to a file. We use this file after flashing to return our settings, but we still need to bind again, unless we are using passphrase binding which is automatic with both the quad and the radio powered on.
