Best Exputt video

Thanks for the thorough review. Hey just some feedback. IMO, It would be great to see it in use right out of the gate and then drill into the details. Otherwise I have no context for anything you’re showing. Hope that’s helpful

Confused by your example in practice mode? Your putt ended up left of hole, yet all data indicated "open" club face and path Right?

The first putt was 4.2mph (missed left) then the video was edited...the screen shot following was a different putt (notice the speed change at 4.6 in top right is different)- Great attention to detail. Editor mistake for sure. I can vouch for the system- it is spot on.

I've had the exputt for about 3d now and while it does provide accurate feedback on the 'practice' mode (distances of up to 50 feet). I know my backswing length relative to the distance I hit it (in number of paces). But I find the Play Mode to be quite confusing. Example: you have a putt that's 40 feet and there is an elevation change of 1 ft 7 in. How exactly do you account for that just by looking at a flat screen? On a real green - your eyes will tell your brain how to adjust for it - but with this, there is just almost no way of knowing.

I agree that part is not as easy to understand. They use colors to indicate the amount of increase/decrease of slope. Personally I don't use that part as I feel if you are going to practice breaking putts, you will also have a slope of some kind from the start. Great observation, and I am happy to hear you understand your speed control. My suggestion would be to use it to zero in your clubface/path and tempo- then move outside for breaking putts as you will also have grain to contend with. Thanks for watching and sharing.

@@professionalgolfinstruction The exputt is an aide that will help you with distance control to avoid three putting. It can go from 5 feet all the way to 50 feet. I find it VERY accurate when it comes to distance training/lag putting. But it only works with golfers who gauges distance a certain way. I pace off my putts - and I know that one normal step for me (I'm 5'9") is about 2 feet. IE: 15 pace putt = 30 feet. So when exputt (in practice mode) gives me a distance of 18 feet - i know it is my "9 pace putt" - or 40 feet is my "20 pace putt" - etc. Some buddies of mine cant measure distance this way - they see the length and their brain "feels" the putt that goes with it (I can't do this). So for them, the exputt is pretty much useless as the sim will give them a number of 38 feet - but they don't have the visual to connect the number with the distance as they are just staring at the TV. The 'challenge' and 'play mode' setting - are pretty much useless as in brings in undulations which you really can't see on the TV. It gives a number that you are 1'8" above the hole - but w/o the visual, there is really no way to adjust the speed of your putt. So to my friends who see "38 feet" and can't gauge the distance - I see the 1'7" drop in elevation and am equally confused. Getting my club face close to zero is a great challenge. I also particularly like the ball speed (I guess this will be tempo) measurement - I know now for a 50 foot putt (25 paces hahaha) at a stimp of 11, my ball speed has to be 10.2mph if I want it to die at the hole.

@@professionalgolfinstruction I still think it will be a great help once the golfing season is placed on hold. At hcap, 4, a three putt feels like a dagger in the heart. I will rarely make 9-10 footers will any regularity so I tend to practice those less. What I do focus on is avoiding the three putt by improving my lag from distances of 30-50 feet - by getting inside a three foot circle which the exputt measures out as well.

So the obvious question, have your putting stats improved? It seems a bit artificial, most of us with lines on the ball can see we hit it straight or not (they roll line over line). Does this help with distance?
@professionalgolfinstruction4 жыл бұрын
A line on the ball is great, but it only gives you a visual "goal" or aid for set up and alignment. You may stroke the putter on that line, but you can't see what direction the putter face is pointing at impact without a high speed system like this. As far as distance control, I can help there under $10. Check out "The Tour Putting System" on Amazon. It will open your eyes a bit.
