Thanks for another great video. I'm a beginner, I'm trying to learn things and I have to tell you that your video about Ponnuki helped me a lot to get my first win. :) That really made my day. :) Thanks again.

Thank you so much. These videos are really well made. Great explanation about the basic principles, clear demonstration, practical examples, and a real pro game example as a bonus. What more can you ask for!

I've been doing a lot of tsumego, but I find it hard once I get beyond 12k problems. It's easy for me to identify what to do when the problem is a series of ataris, snap backs forcing obvious dead shapes. However I struggle when there is more open space in the problem and don't know how to think about it. I'm wondering if there are ways I should be looking at these problems that can help me to identify what to do more quickly. Spending 20 minutes trying to read every possible move is exhausting. Perhaps you could do a video on how to think about these problems?

Thanks I'll think about doing that. For now I'd say that 20 minutes is too long and you can actually learn a lot by looking at the answer after a couple of minutes and redoing that problem in a few weeks, and increasing the number of problems to make more efficient use of your time.

@@MichaelRedmondsGoTV Thanks for the advice. I've been very stubborn about trying not to look at the answers, but I will try to let go of that. I think one of my biggest issues is trying to visualize the board and track longer sequences in my head. I guess my hope is that there are more tricks or shapes to memorize beyond basic dead shapes to limit how much I need to read before knowing something is dead or alive. Thanks again! I love your proverb videos. I'll be sad when you run out.

This was really instructive for me. When attacking my first instinct is always to atari and try to surround my opponent as quickly as possible, this really shows how much better it can be to just make sure own stones are nice and strong first.
