Something about him not talking or emoting makes him look so young. Like mid to late 20s while usually he looks almost 40 to me. I think he’s prettier when he’s expressive

Apparently he was almost forty when he was turned into a vampire but that's still really young by elf standards. He barely got to live at all when his life was stolen.

One possibility why he looks so young when he's not talking and expressing emotion is the fact that the lines on his face isn't moving. But yes, expressive Astarion is the prettiest ✨ I also love that Larian didn't go for the usual early-20s look (that we usually see) for him but he's still so beautiful 😭😭😭

You can actually see the similarities in Neil Newbon's face since they used his face (with the movement) and voice. ❤

@@sensualsloth the character model is completely original from what the creator themselves noted they didn’t use any real people when creating it (which means Astarion is one of a kind 😂)

@@bryfaith sure, but with all models that focus on the voice acting there is definitely a sense of that character. I can see all the actors in the models... While they are not exact there is definitely a likeness.
