A tip. Jacks do not always work. When the parking brake is released and the jacks are retracted, it is a good idea for one of you to get out and look under to make sure all the jacks retracted. Takes 5 seconds and it's better than the alternative if you have a jack failure.

Happy to share! And unfortunately, yes. It's tough to tell, but where the mirrors and cameras get what's close to the motorhome, and a few degrees out, and I can see through the window and sometimes out of the door's window, which is nice and large, I couldn't see right at this perfect angle while merging unfortunately! Thankfully, it's so rarely an issue that it hasn't bothered me, but it will certainly be a factor at times!

Just curious how do you deal with wind or wind gusts? Do you slow down and stay in the right lane? I have a 23foot Class C and just did my 1st Solo Road Trip for 3.5 months. Driving through Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas was nerve wrecking due to the winds. I had a death grip on the steering wheel the entire time and stayed in the right lane and slowed my speed down to 45 - 55mph. I also did frequent stops because my nerves was frazzled. Note prior through driving through Texas I found out about an app called Highway Weather so started using that to find out the wind speed and used that to determine when I should drive.

You are absolutely right, and we're right there with you! Our suspension is so terribly fit to this unit that we have a lot of body roll. We did a few videos on the DIY suspension upgrades, that certainly helped, particularly the steering stabilizer. However, we make sure that we're in the right lane always and we'll cruise around 55mph in good conditions, so with really strong gusts we're at 45mph or less! And then we'll take back roads as much as possible. Sometimes we just have no options, so we'll throw the hazards on and white-knuckle it! I have no plans of flipping over in this rig, and out in Wyoming and South Dakota where we've been, we'd certainly be at risk if we stayed the course, even at 55mph! Highway Weather sounds interesting, that's a great tip!

@@Reneellinedance That's going to be a wonderful trip! We've also found that the more hills we can be between, the less wind we encounter. Sometimes that's not possible, but we also find that the views are just much better that way as well. 😊

Do you have front and rear air Baggs? It makes for a very stable ride!

We do not, but airbags make SUCH a huge difference, we found out on our pickup truck that we used to have. It's frankly incredible. That would make a world of difference on this rig, though I suspect it's mostly diesels that come with something like that by default.

What's your mileage on the highway? Wonder if it's better than the V-10.

We get somewhere around 10.5-11.7, depending on the hills. This summer, on a long trip, our very consistent average was 10.8mpg, hard to complain considering it’s our home!

That’s the suspension and wall/roof panels from what I can tell. The door was pretty noisy before stopping the squeaks with rubber seal material!

You really should be using a GPS app or Garmin specifically designed for longer, or commercial trucks. It takes account for length, height, weight and all that. Something you all clearly aren't doing with this GPS...
