well that's again a defeat. But I think the pressure to stay in premier league is getting to saints. well now they have 32 games in hand they need to play fearlessly without being afraid of relegation. yes relegation will take a lot out of saints but a solid foundation needs to laid . Lack of coordination and giving up has been a trait of saints for sometime now. But for once we need to come out of that zone where we are 1-0 down and giving up on the game . Yes we are trying but without results it's just nothing. We have been playing beautiful football but at some moments we switch off and concede goals. We need to look if this formation is taking a lot out of our players. if yes then there has to be something to fit in. It is quite understandable that Martin is trying hard but there is a lack of motivation within the team. Remember we are relegation favourites so there is no need to be under pressure we can definately push above that. just one thing try and try and don't give up. We can still beat relegation.

Let's face facts. The manager is not PL standard and the majority of the players aren't either. Until both of these things change, then it is going to be a long season with hardly any points

RM has to be tactically flexible. Else he's shown why he is at best a championship level boss. So far we have been at best, 4/10. Im all for him getting another few games but if results don't improve, id say it's time for change. Question is, who'd want the job?

What do you mean by 'tactically flexible'? We started the season playing a 3-5-2, then have since tried 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 and seemingly now (according to commentator in this game) 4-2-2-2. Not that formations strictly matter, as there are different shapes/formations depending on the phase of play. If this is about a perceived insistence on playing out from the back, I see Ramsdale play plenty of long balls or balls into midfield. In fact our goal against Ipswich game from playing over the press like this. His long-range distribution isn't particularly good though, and a lot of our players have a poor first touch. To me, the primary issue is this starting 11 had only 4 players from last year. There are too many to integrate and some of them just don't look worth the time or money. If anything, RM has been changing things up too much and just needs to pick an 11 and give them a run of games to gel and create chemistry, because right now they look like a bunch of strangers
