We can really see the impact Haaland has on the field when he's not playing. Newcastle defenders had an easy evening. Haaland always keeps at least two defenders on him and he makes a lot of space for other players like Alvarez, Foden, Bernardo. His value is far more important than his goals. When City played 10 men a lot of people couldnt understand why Pep kept Haaland on the field. The pressure on Citys goal would have been much worse without Haaland. People are unfortunately only looking at Haalands goals and not the impact he has on the field just by being there.

I am not disappointed but I am happy with the result. 1:0 is not too bad. We still have Club World Cup to play, not possible to play in all competitions without rest. This is not a one match final like Super Cup or Shield and England FA is ridiculous, two local cup competitions only happen in England. So, put all the effort in PL and UCL is the best option. This is a good lesson for the rest of the premiership. When one harries and one puts them under pressure they can be beaten. Mind you need the likes of a Livramento and a Gordon to do it. Very little got past Livramento and Gordon carried a big threat up front for when he ran at them he was against two defenders and usually a third waiting close by and thus more space for the other players. It showed the respect that Guardiola has for him.
