This is the official Dakar page, the literal official page of the event, the page of the event that is official, the official event page. Legal and Rights reasons should not apply to them. They should have the broadcast rights OVER THEIR OWN EVENT.

In an ideal world in which organizers of events such as this one don't need money to finance the prohibitive costs of the event in question and make a profit, yes. In the real world, it's officially different...

@@Quentwo In the real world, event organizers can create their own platforms (and often do) at competitive pricing, while still having global broadcast rights. Dakar has no excuse to not do this except lack of drive. WEC does it. WRC does it. WR2C absolutely can also do it. And in fact, if they NEED to sell themselves out to third parties to the extent they lose THEIR OWN RIGHTS TO THEIR OWN EVENT, they don't have enough fans or global interest to be sustainable in the first place. I would rather pay them directly 30 bux a month than pay 100 bux a month for a streaming service I will use for literally one event per year, which is the only way to get a 30-50m longer update video in my country,

Look I see the comments for Longer videos....I know I can get longer coverage on other parts of YT and on TV (which I rarely watch), But I literally like this short form content instead. Amazing that after 20hrs of racing, the lead SxS are only 1hr down on the T1+ cars. Shows just how technical these first stages have been, preventing the T1+ class from really maximising their power difference.

Condolences to Carlos and the M-Sport team, what a terrible way to end the race. Kudos to Dakar for their commitment to safety, whilst the stories of old are inspiring to hear, this is the sort of change that needed to happen to keep our sport alive. Hard though it may be for team and fan alike.

But the reasoning at the last part is a no excuse when WEC,Indycar,F1, Super GT, Rally (although these two are preferred to watch other channels than their official ones) and even NASCAR have television broadcast deals yet they still post extended highlights on their races in KZbin it’s a sad excuse in my opinion given this is a proper good way to make the sport better like what WEC and Indycar for their fans especially
