Simon already had two TDF Stage wins in 2019. So it just makes sense that he doesn't battle Adam for his first TDF Stage win. The Yellow jersey is simply a bonus. Stage 1 was win win for the twins ❤

Nice stage today. Both Pogacar and Vingegaard and their teams showed that they were where they should be. A climb suited for Pogacar, but Vingegaard kept up with him without even standing up in his pedals. It's going to be interesting to see if that changes.

No. Pogacar got 4 sec. And he will get more bonus sec b c daily he will try for them, and has fine sprint. Poor tactics jumbo

@@paulsolon6229 It's the same as last year. Pogacar gets seconds when he attacks, Vingegaard gets minutes when he attacks. If it was poor tactics from anyone, it was from UAE, because the wrong rider won.

Can't wait to see the whole stage. Wow! The twins! They really came out of no where to be the talk of the day! Poor Enric Mas and Richard Carapaz. How extremely difficult is the race, that we, normal cyclists just can't understand! I hope Enric can find comfort and solace! My heart goes out to him preparing for the race and then having to drop out. 🥺 Prayers for him. Richard carapaz was my guess for podium with Jonas and Tadej. I pray him a speedy recovery on his knee!! 🙏🏻🤗🫶🏻

Congrats to all the TDF Racers. My son was a top junior road racer & Velodrome racer a decade ago. 2 juniors he raced against are on the USA cycling squad. It's mind blowing how much effort these guys put into their endeavors, in an underappreciated sport. May God bless & protect all their weary, thrilling miles !

Jonas doesn't fear Yates. Of course, he won't let him go in breakaways and such, but he also won't hunt down every attack. He will not make the same mistake as Pogacar did last year. Yates is no Roglic.

Let’s hope they can spend some of the profits this year on cycling lessons for the fans so they don piss off local residents. Some of the riding around the Pyrenees including using both lanes downhill and riding two or more in a row is unacceptable. There have been so many accidents already. We need to start thinking about having licenses and insurance for cyclists. There is clearly a poorly educated group of road users that need training. They mustn’t forget that the roads are designed for cars and locals for the majority of the year.

Pogacar aim till stage 13 is bonus sec. He will try for as many bonus sec as he can, b c he knows on the hc climbs vingegaard is slightly better, and that at stage 17 v will get approx 35 sec on p P got 4 bonus sec today. He needs to get approx 35 more. Wva cd be big help to v here in these bonus sprints. But jumbo a team divided-stage wins for wva, gc for v. That team division cd mean v loses yellow, while wva wins 1-4 stages. Uae team United: one goal, one only: yellow for p. V is the better tour rider than p, but v may lose this tour. We can estimate: the winner in yellow by a small margin of sec only perhaps a tiny margin. W/ a rider of p caliber, mistake by jumbo to divide team.
