Brilliant interview with some really fascinating, thoughtful insights! Totally agree with Kieran that people should try and live in the moment more and enjoy the journey, rather than hyper-focus on the future. In fact, great advise for life in general 🙂👍 And big thumbs up to Mark for driving community engagement and that whole philosophy. Could have listened for another hour. Big thanks for doing this 🙏 #COYB 🚜💙

A fantastic watch that all Town fans should take time to watch. This club goes far deeper than performances and results on the pitch. Both Kieran and Mark have impressed me since day one and as a fan this should only install absolute confidence we have the right people at the top of the club to take us back to where we should be. Brilliantly interviewed by Matt who knows what it takes to represent the club in the correct way. To all the town fans who cant wait to bring negativity after less positive results. Watch this video.

Absolutely brilliant interview and discussion, and appreciated that Matty didn't shy away from the tougher questions. Having grown up as a fan through the glory of the SBR era, this is probably the most excited I've been about our future in as long as I can remember. To have an average attendance of almost 25K in the 3rd division is incredible and we are lucky to have Kieran and Mark at the helm. I have no doubt, KMc will manager in the Premier League one and I just hope it is with us. COYB.

Km is a very talented man, but I could listen to MA for hours and never get bored. I met him 1:1 for a 30 minute session about a year ago, the discussion was intense and mesmerising, and he had the cheek to praise my constructive enthusiasm. I was 38 years in a high St Bank, and working in London I got to meet and work with some very very talented people. None get close to this level of passion. He is irreplaceable. Anybody who thinks we could be in better hands is barmy. Love these guys and we stick with them. Whatever !!

Management talking to the fans, being involved, caring about what the fans think, was so evident.. I do think there was a bit of managing expectations going on there and also tied into that the recent Morsey incident. So parts felt like come on everyone let’s pull together, but expectations are so high there is going to be some disappointments.. HMS Pisstheleague should be renamed to HMS Headingintherightdirection.

Just wanted to clarify my comment- Vision and kind of Magic refs Queens music and i have no clue as to how who or what " tactics " play out but i do see crystal clear direction . However i do know unqualified bullshit comments that some make and at the same time i will hear cos i love our beloved ITFC and i have to believe and trust that we all do. M.A. when you visit with Game Changer please thank them for their investment and remembering that without fans all is meaningless. P.S. " we're gonna need a bigger boat". ( stadium ). R.I.P. Motty. x

We as a football club our very scared , but what we have to see is a change , a desire and belief, Our beloved football club wether we like it or not before the new owners , CEO and team and keiron came in we were 20 years in decline , the ground , the practice facilities, the infrastructure at Ipswich town fc was really non existint, in 18 months and over the next 5 year s this football club is going from strength to strength, We our getting our pride back , our football club is in safe hands , and eventually we will be back where we belong.... The previous owner didn't seem at all bothered about the club's poor performances and eventual relegation to League 1. There was an attempt to build a "brand", hence appointing a big name as manager. Ipswich, like its rival up the A140 has thrived when an aspiring young manager is at the helm. It will take a few years to repair the damage done in the Marcus Evans era.

I find this contentment with ‘moving forward’ baffling and I’m starting to become concerned with runner up rhetoric being used by the manager and some of fanbase. It’s no coincidence that last seasons comparison is being made now but the tactics/performances for this level of football since the new year have not been good enough. Compare resources, squad depth, training environment and the raw observable ability of the first team, and this squad under a adequate/good manager should win this league. Nothing to do with entitlement, just successfully utilising raw materials that make a club successful. Pundits predicted problems with the playing style even when they were winning.

I disagree with McKenna about fitness level of Ipswich players. It might be better than last season but it can be improved by a lot. It's clear to see that some players get tired around 60th minute and they stop doing their job properly. Changes doesn't help much as you can't replace 10 players. If you look at goal difference: 0-30 minute = +11, 31-60 minute = +14, 61-90 minute = +5. Most of the time good teams are dominating games near the end. We are not there yet with fitness.

I’ve seen comments on forums about how if we don’t get promotion this season then both KMc and MA’s jobs are under threat. Utter garbage. These two clearly have a long term vision and work ethic to make Ipswich Town a great club again. People who never attend games yet have the loudest voices online should be quieter and respect the work going on at the club and the many thousands of fans that are turning up to SUPPORT their team.

A lot of people blinded by some lovely platitudes, bottom line is, if Ipswich fail this season most fans will want McKenna gone when the dust has settled, if Ipswich continue on there current trajectory they won’t reach the play offs. Ipswich need to be more ruthless and tougher on the pitch. Love an Owl x

Also, from the way their talking you would think that these problems and obstacles didn’t impact the teams above them and around them. I’m sorry , but suggesting you have the best stats in the league (fitness, possession and shots) contradicts your league position and form - you can end up protecting your stats at the expense of the league position. Sadly, I suspect that anything but a strong showing in the playoffs will likely end in McKenna being replaced next season.
@andrewbenson4439 Жыл бұрын
Seriously? They’ve built the whole setup around McKenna. Ashton has said the players come to Ipswich partly because of the excellent coaching. There’s no way they’re going to just sack him.
@tatreides8425 Жыл бұрын
@@andrewbenson4439 I would genuinely like to be wrong and they certainly won’t just sack him. But things change fast in football and I don’t see a manager changing his tactics in response to changing events. In truth, they we’re lucky to win yesterday against a very poor MK Dons and all the same problems were there to be seen. I don’t currently see a team with the tactical flexibility or mental strength to gain promotion. If he doesn’t gain promotion this year, he’s on borrowed time next year - especially if they don’t have a strong start.
