NOTES FOR THOSE UNAWARE: For those who did not see my Windows XP Build 2210 timelapse, that character after Windows ME is NOT "Windows 64." That character is based on Windows XP Build 2210. The build was compiled in the DEC Alpha architecture and the build was created as a preparation for the system to run natively on the 64-bit architecture. The logo is based on the bootscreen: betawiki.net/images/2/24/WindowsXPBuild2210Boot.png Yes, the startup sound is not played from Windows Server 2008 onwards, meaning Server 2012-2022 have no sounds. Yes, I have changed my 3.1 from male to female. I guess. NO. LONGHORN DOES NOT USE THOSE MISATTRIBUTED SOUNDS YOU HEAR ALL THE TIME. ALL WINDOWS CODE NAME LONGHORN BUILDS USE WINDOWS XP SOUNDS. I did the same thing as you in my PowerPoint, only with some that were missing like: MS DOS, Microsoft Interface Manager, Windows Vista Beta (Only it had 2 shutdown sounds), Windows Vieena, Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, Windows 9, Windows 10 Beta, Windows Server 2025, Windows 12.

Well first of all, I chose not to include a lot of SKUs that systems have. Second, no builds of Odyssey have been leaked yet so we don't have any information on the actual system. Lastly, Triton isn't the codename for any release of Windows that was in development.

Yes, technically. 2024 refers to version 22H2, and version 23H2 is already out which does end support in 2025. I'd just forgotten to change it lol. So yes, you're kinda right. It should say 2025. (And not 2031 like OSM kids would say.)

Well for one, I wouldn't judge you for sounding like a nerd anyway, so it's fine. Two, Microsoft already has a Lifecycle page for Windows 11, telling us when each version of Windows 11 ends support. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-11-home-and-pro (In this case I should have changed the date to reference the end of 23H2.)

Windows 98 Beta 2.1/3 uses a slightly lower quality version of 98's Microsoft Sound and the RTM Shutdown sound (except slightly slowed.) So while you are correct that 98 Beta uses 95 sounds, Windows 95 sounds were used until build 1593, where they were replaced in build 1602.

No they aren't. While the sound isn't played by default, all three of 8 - 10 use Windows Vista/7's Startup. Windows Logon.wav is not the startup for Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10's sound is sourced from HoloLens trailer.
