Congratulations!Just found your channel. Have gone back and watched your entire Canadian journey. Great videos! Would love to see a video on the differences between Australia and Canada and what are your favourite things about living in the Canadian Rockies.

Congrats to you both! So exciting that you can stay longer in beautiful Canada. I have a question-would you say it is hard to acquire an LMIA job? Are you guys planning to get PR?

PR is not on our radar at the moment! I know Canada has just announced this week that they are changing the LMIA requirements and it looks like it is going to be much harder. Essentially they want to reduce the amount of temporary residents in Canada so those jobs are going to more citizens. We just had the opportunity presented to us - however, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it based on our experiences following (I'll post an update in the next month or so!)

Hey, moving in dec this yr, just curious if employers are accomodating to workers taking say 1 -2 weeks off, wanting to return for a short time to go to an event
@caitlinlaurent6 ай бұрын
The answer to that will be completely dependent on your employer and the time of the year so I will speak generally but you will need to confirm with them. In towns like this, most employers are pretty good at giving you time off. However, in most jobs, there are also 'blackout periods' which is when they won't approve anyone's time off because it's busy. Examples may be over Christmas and new years, as well as holidays! Hope that helps :)
