This is incredible and would be looking to have this with a 2-3 stool counter indent (so kids and grown ups can eat together albeit on different levels) plus an electric hob... undercounter extractor can't be used for this dream, but will look into the installation guide and see if it can be placed at the other end instead.

the type of wood you use is oak right ??

For the base and door I did use oak. The top of the pull out is cherry and the butcher block is a mix of cherry and walnut.

Now one for my end but coming out 2' perpendicular ???? Two layers of 1" thick piano hinged panels, so once out at least 20" they unfold and can cantilever in space or must have a swing bracket instead of two legs.???
