Do you have more context on which brush and where you think we were using it incorrectly?

@@JRDetailing I think you might be pressing too hard on the detailing brush, crushing the bristles and making them splay outwards. What I'd do is to hold it a bit further away so that the bristles can get into the cracks and crevices, and more dabbing rather than scrubbing.
