The Copa Interamericana was an official competition played from 1969 to 1998, and pitted the Copa Libertadores champions against the winners of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
The Cup had as a method of dispute, round-trip matches in the respective countries of the champions, with some editions being defined in a best of 3, or even in a single match.
Mostly, Brazilian football clubs always despised the competition, and in almost all the editions that a club in Brazil had classified, the representative of Conmebol in the Interamerican Cup, was the vice-champion of the Libertadores.
Throughout its existence, the Interamerican Cup had the most varied trophies, and in this video we will tell a little, or almost the whole story of this extinct competition.
